Haylie Schnake (2023) | Miller
The 5’6 outside hitter for the Cardinals did most of the damage in the state championship match against Gideon. With the 3-0 sweep 25-15, 25-20, 25-18, Miller won their first state title for girls in any sport. With 11 kills and 15 digs in the final, she helped send off a senior class in style.
Addison Stockton (2023) | Miller
The libero, another junior on a dominant senior team, picked up 25 digs to frustrate the Gideon hitters. Her calm demeanor in the back row helped her team stay one step ahead of Gideon and give them the title sweep.
Hope Raymond (2022) | Gideon
She might only be 5’4 and playing middle against Miller’s 6’2 middles, but Hope came up big in the state title match and pushed her team to try a little harder. The sparkplug for the Bulldogs also added in 13 digs in the loss to Miller.
Isabella Limback Isabella Limback 5'10" | OH Santa Fe | 2022 State MO (2022) | Santa Fe
Another big performance for the senior in the third-place match against South Iron would put down 24 kills on .382 hitting. Add in her team-leading 17 digs, and Limback would finish the state tournament with 60 kills on .312 hitting and 46 digs.
Drew Gayle (2023) | South Iron
The middle/setter for the Panthers had a solid outing in the third-place match in the 1-3 loss to South Iron 21-25, 25-23, 25-10, 25-13. With a solid line of 17 kills on .286 hitting, 15 assists, and 17 digs, Gayle did all she could to give her team a win for the weekend.
Grace Godat (2022) | Hermann
The #2 middle behind Holly Heldt, Grace would provide the Bearcats with a solid performance in the championship match with 11 kills on .381 hitting and three blocks. Her performance helped Hermann win its 15th state championship over the weekend.
