Trinity Beers Trinity Beers 5'11" | OH Big Valley | 2023 State CA , 5-11 Outside, Jr, Big Valley Christian – In the start of the Nor Cal Div. 6 Regional championships, Beers led the Lions with 14 kills and 5 aces to go with 7 digs in a sweep of Redding Christian. Beers’ 14 kills tied the third most from the junior this season.
Brooke Cannon, 5-3 Libero/DS, Sr, Salinas – Cannon’s match-high 20 digs were a key part of the Cowboys upsetting No. 2 Clovis North in five sets in the first round of the Division 1 state finals. She missed matching her season high by one dig and had at least 20 digs for the third time on the year.
Sydney Su Sydney Su S Monta Vista | 2023 CA , Setter/Right Side, Jr, Monta Vista – The Matadors opened the Division 3 state playoffs by overcoming Windsor in four sets. Su’s outing filled up the stat sheet as the junior put up 13 kills, 14 digs, 12 assists and 4 blocks. It was the fourth straight match Su reached double-digits in digs.
Julianna Mufarreh, 5-9 Outside, Soph, Mercy – Mufarreh was efficient in Mercy’s sweep of Convent of the Sacred Heart in the opening round of the Division 4 state playoffs. Her 11 kills led the offense while hitting .455. She also chipped in with 5 digs.
Katie Callagy, Middle Blocker, Jr, Mercy – Muffareh’s teammate was practically unstoppable as well. Callagy finished with 9 kills and hit nearly perfect at .818. Her 6 aces led the Crusaders.
Jade Light Jade Light 6'3" | OH Pleasant Grove | 2022 CA , 6-3 Outside, Sr, Pleasant Grove – The Eagles needed every one of Light’s match-high 34 kills to advance past Summit Shasta in five sets in the Division 2 playoffs. It was also a season high for Lights topping her old mark of 32. Light also had 10 digs.
Savannah Risley Savannah Risley 5'8" | S Pleasant Grove | 2022 CA , 5-8 Setter, Sr, Pleasant Grove – What a night is was for Risley, who starred along with Light for Pleasant Grove. Risley established a season high with 54 dimes. It was the first time this season she surpassed 50 assists, breaking her old mark of 44 assists.
Krisiti Lee, 5-8 Libero/DS, Sr, Burlingame – For the sixth time this season Lee recorded at least 20 digs as the Panthers swept Clovis East in the Division 2 state playoffs. Lee put up 23 digs and added 2 aces to go with 20 serve receptions.
