<p>As the state playoffs continue in their respective divisions, we are on the hunt for the top performers. Check out these standouts from Nor Cal during Round 2 action.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="160331" first="Brynn" last="Scribner"], 6-0 Middle Blocker, Jr, Trinity</strong> – The Wolves came through in five sets to top Vacaville Christian in the Division 5 playoffs. Scribner couldn’t have played a bigger role. The junior led Trinity with 14 kills while hitting .591 on 22 swings. She also took care of business at the net with a team-high 5 blocks.</p>
<p><strong>Kaityln Cabral, 5-11 Outside, Jr, University Prep</strong> – Ripon Christian was overmatched as the Panthers swept in the continuation of the Division 4 playoffs. Cabral was effective on offense, turning in 11 kills on 19 swings and hitting .579. She added 7 digs and 2 aces. It was the seventh time Cabral hit at least .500 with a minimum of 15 swings this season.</p>
<p><strong>Avery Ehrlich, Outside, Sr, Carondelet</strong> – Ehrlich tied a season high in kills as the Cougars beat Escalon in straight sets in Division 3 action. Ehrlich ended with 19 winners on 41 swings, tied for the third most attempts this season for her. She also tied for the team lead in blocks with 3 and even had 2 assists.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="159512" first="Franchesca" last="Martins"], 5-9 Outside, Sr, Orland</strong> – Martins shattered her previous season high as the Trojans clipped Urban in five games in Division 5 play. Martins finished with 33 kills on 72 swings, hitting .361. Her previous high for kills was 23, a feat she accomplished twice before breaking out last week. Her contributions didn’t stop there, as she also recorded 14 digs and 12 blocks.</p>
<p><strong>Abby Reynolds, Middle Blocker/Outside, Sr, Oak Ridge</strong> – Reynolds was clutch throughout the Trojans’ five-set thriller over Foothill in the Division 1 playoffs. The senior produced 14 kills on 30 swings while hitting .300. She also tied for a team high with 5 blocks.</p>
<p><strong>Ella Duong, Setter/RS, Fr, Burlingame</strong> – The Panthers had no issues in downing Archie Williams in the Division 2 playoffs as Duong came up large. The freshman led the offense with 9 kills, hitting .400. She also was tops in assists with 17 and third in digs with 11.</p>
