Some of the athletes listed may have played multiple positions on the court, but we have chosen them for the positions that we think they excelled at the most.
We are proud to announce our First Team All State in this article series. We will be posting a few athletes at a time in order to give enough credit to each player. We are very proud of each player and everyone who helped them reach their goals this year. These players are being picked due to their individual performance on their teams this high school season. This next article in this series is devoted to the Outsides. These two young ladies are our picks for 1st Team All- State.
1st Team All State Selection: Outside
Brooklyn Jaeger Brooklyn Jaeger 5'9" | OH Fayetteville | 2023 State TX [2023] 5-9 Outside (HS: Fayetteville/Club: Texstar/ Verbal: Uncommitted)
Brooklyn is the 116th ranked prospect in the 2023 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. We profiled her a while back and said the following, “Miss Jaeger is from a small town located halfway between Houston and Austin. The population of Fayetteville is around 263. The town may be small, but Brooklyn’s talent is huge. This young lady is a point-scoring machine for her school and club team. She is a six rotation outside hitter who will only get better with more experience and time under her belt. Her ball control is exceptional and she is a primary passer in each rotation. Brooklyn has a lot of power in her attack and she can score both hard cross and down the line with her super fast arm swing. Brooklyn is the primary attacker for her high school team at such a young age and regularly records double digit kills in their matches. She plays for a great club in Texstar and we know that her club director Milton Koller will have her ready for the next level in a few years as he always has great talent in his program. We have been watching closely and she has not disappointed. We are combining all schools regardless of size and Brooklyn is currently leading the entire state in kills for the 2023 class with 828 kills so far. She is the main reason why her Fayetteville varsity squad is currently 40-1 overall and 14-0 in district.” Giving this award makes us proud because she is from a smaller school and volleyball is volleyball. This young lady led the entire state regardless of size of school in total kills and that is super impressive. It is due to this individual achievement that we chose to award her play. We are proud to announce that she is the recipient of our publication’s inaugural 1st Team All-State award. Please congratulate her on the achievement.
1st Team All State Selection: Outside
Bianna Muoneke [2023] 6-0 Outside (HS: Cy Ranch/Club: Houston Juniors/Verbal: Texas A&M)
Bianna is currently unranked in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She has been on our watch list for a while and we definitely will be adding her to our rankings in the next update. We recently profiled her to announce her commitment to play at the next level and we said the following about her, “She has proven to us that she belongs and is a legit threat on the court. She recently committed to playing at the next level with Texas A&M in the SEC. Luckily for us we can cover her for the next two years. She is one of the reasons that Cy Ranch is going ballistic this season. They are currently 28-3 overall and just started district and are 4-0. So far she has obliterated every statistical category from last year and she is not even done yet. She will do extremely well for the Aggies and we are so happy for her commitment. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing volleyball at the next level. And stay tuned for more coverage of this young lady soon. She has been on fire this year and has definitely earned the right to be in the running for an All-State award due to her play on the court. Cy Ranch has been on a tear and the six-foot junior is a big reason why. They are currently 38-3 overall and 14-0 in district. Bianna has 621 kills on a very impressive .421 hitting percentage from the outside. Please congratulate her on her stellar play and for earning a nomination for an All-State award. Stay tuned to see if she wins.” Well we have decided and Miss Muoneke has won the award due to her amazing play on the court. She was almost unstoppable all year and is so deserving of the award. We are proud to announce that she is the recipient of our publication’s inaugural 1st Team All-State award. Please congratulate her on the achievement.
