Our scouts and editors have been busy updating our rankings to reflect work put in by players across the state. We’ve taken into consideration a number of factors and the updated rankings show movement as well as new names. But here are 6 athletes who are making waves and working their way to the top!
#164⇒#150: Mia Potter Mia Potter 5'7" | OH Bethlehem Academy | 2022 State MN – 5’7 – Outside Hitter – Bethlehem Academy – Northern Lights
- Potter helped lead Bethlehem Academy to a 3rd place finish in the Minnesota State Tournament after going undefeated in the Gopher Conference and earning Conference Player of the Year recognition. Potter has shown the biggest growth moving up to #150 on our list due to her strong defense.
#43⇒#31: Kaitlynn Peterson Kaitlynn Peterson 6'0" | OH Lakeville North | 2022 State MN – 6’0 – Outside Hitter – Lakeville North – Northern Lights 18-1s – Committed to Bradley University
- Peterson’s commitment to Division 1 Bradley University and securing a position on Northern Lights 18-1 has helped raise her ranking. She’s done a great job getting more exposure, showcasing her powerful swing, and demonstrating her ability to terminate. She is now ranked 31st.
#41⇒#30: Katy Riviere Katy Riviere 5'11" | S Wayzata | 2022 State MN – 6’0 – Setter/Right Side Hitter – Wayzata – MN Select – Committed to North Dakota
- The 6’0 lefty right side hitter is super smart and crafty with her shots, along with a fast armswing. She also landed herself an offer from North Dakota, was named All-Region, and made her way onto the All-American All-State Honorable Mention. She was also named to the All-State Class AAAA Team and has found her way to the 30th position.
#50⇒#40: Jackie Yang Jackie Yang 5'4" | DS/L Johnson | 2022 State MN – 5’4 – Libero – Johnson – MN Juniors
- Yang has been flying under the radar and would be a huge steal at the next level. She has great defensive movement, as well as pinpoint platform angle and accuracy. I really can’t stress this player enough if you are looking for a 2022 libero. Her new ranking is 40th.
#57⇒#47: Darienne Andre Darienne Andre 6'0" | MB Rosemount | 2022 State MN – 6’0 – Middle Blocker – Rosemount – Northern Lights 18-2
- This 6’0 middle blocker from Rosemount has fought her way into the top 50 for the class of 2022. She’s currently a member of the Northern Lights 18-2 team, and Andre is a leader for the team. Her energetic body language, passion for the game, and height make her a top prospect who will be going to the Division 3 National Champions, UW-Eau Claire.
#68⇒#58 Keya Luta Win Hunt Keya Luta Win Hunt 6'0" | S Breck | 2022 State MN – 6’0 – Setter – Breck – MN Select 18-2
- Luta Win Hunt enters her final club season 58th on our list. She has made strides to become a more offensive-minded setter. Her height gives her the ability to take the tight pass and make something out of it, whether she attacks it herself or brings it back into play for her hitters to attack.
