<p>Every ranking update new names emerge from their stellar play over the course of the season. We also love when players we didn’t know much about jump on our radar. Here are some of the names to enter our updated rankings for the class of 2022.</p>
<p><strong>(29) [player_tooltip player_id="170401" first="Clara" last="Benskin"] - MB - Blue Valley North</strong></p>
<p>A state championship season will definitely get you noticed and Benskin did her part in being recognized in 2021. She snatched up first-team All-State honors for the state’s largest class. She had 168 kills and 113 blocks on the year. </p>
<p><strong>(31) [player_tooltip player_id="170402" first="Jordyn" last="Anderson"] - OH - Blue Valley West</strong></p>
<p>Anderson did her part in helping lead Blue Valley West back to the final four after a state championship season. She was good along the back row with over 200 digs, while also contributing just under 100 kills. </p>
<p><strong>(34) [player_tooltip player_id="170403" first="Drew" last="Baxter"] - OH - Topeka Seaman</strong></p>
<p>Baxter had a breakout season for Seaman that earned her numerous post-season recognition. She paced the offense with 278 kills from the pin position. </p>
<p><strong>(35) [player_tooltip player_id="170404" first="Annabeth" last="Baalmann"] - S - Andale</strong></p>
<p>Baalmann was a pleasant surprise for us this season with her play for Andale. She had over 700 assists and close to 200 digs on the year leading them to the Class 4A state tournament. </p>
<p><strong>(46) [player_tooltip player_id="170406" first="Brette" last="Doile"] - S /DS- McPherson</strong></p>
<p>Doile wore many hats for McPherson in their state tournament run in 2021. She had over 200 digs in the back row. She swung at times had just under 100 kills. She also contributed 37 assists. </p>
<p><strong>(70) [player_tooltip player_id="170409" first="Joy" last="Clemence"] - DS/L - Abilene</strong></p>
<p>We love gritty defenders and Clemence fits the bill with her play for Abilene. She had 505 digs in her All-State season flying all over the court. </p>
