2023 Player Rankings Update: Top Outside Hitters

<p>Over the last month, Prep Dig Michigan has updated its player rankings for both the Class of 2023 and 2024.</p> <p>With a lot of movers and shakers, it’s worth taking a deeper dive into each position to see who ranks among the best.</p> <p>Here’s a look at the top outside hitters in our latest rankings for the Class of 2023</p> <h4><strong>1. [player_tooltip player_id="66319" first="Harper" last="Murray"], Skyline/Legacy</strong></h4> <p>Murray’s talent pretty well speaks for itself. She’s been named the top prospect nationally in the class and her talent level is only improving. The Nebraska commit seems to be adding another level of drive after her time with Team USA over the last year.</p> <h4><strong>2. [player_tooltip player_id="66309" first="Nina" last="Horning"], Lake Orion/Legacy</strong></h4> <p>Horning continues to grow, both in size and as a player. She’s now approaching 6’4”, but still moves very smoothly around the floor. Her defensive game has grown leaps and bounds, and she’s already a dominant presence on offense. She is committed to Cincinnati.</p> <h4><strong>3. It speaks to her overall ability to play the sport and her high court IQ. Vellucci really drew eyes to her with her libero play in recent years. She’s been tremendous with her serve receive and able to use her athleticism as an outside to make very difficult plays in the back row.</p> <h4><strong>4. [player_tooltip player_id="66314" first="Kennedy" last="Louisell"], Forest Hills Northern/FaR Out</strong></h4> <p>Louisell is coming off a big breakout prep season that has everyone knowing her name. She really explodes at the net and delivers a great attack with high termination rate. Louisell also can provide a big swing from the back row and can move around the court very smoothly.</p> <h4><strong>5. [player_tooltip player_id="66316" first="Remi" last="Madison"], Grand Blanc/Michigan Elite</strong></h4> <p>Madison has been a mainstay in the top outside’s discussion of this class for years. She doesn’t have the height of some of her peers, but she has that overall athleticism to make her a great six-rotation outside.
