Continue ReadingWe have been watching the 2023 class very closely throughout the entire high school season and used the data of wins and losses, stats, district finishes, awards, in person tournaments, matches and of course the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles. Texas volleyball is second to none and we have some of the best players in the nation in our 2023 class. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be added to our prestigious State Rankings. Please welcome them with open arms.
Bianna Muoneke Bianna Muoneke 6'0" | OH Cy Ranch | 2023 State #80 Nation TX [2023] 6-0 Outside (HS: Cy Ranch/Club: Houston Juniors/Verbal: Texas A&M)
We are proud to announce that we have added Bianna to the State Rankings officially. She is currently ranked as the 19th best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. We recently profiled her when we announced that she had earned 1st Team All-State and we stated the following about her, “She has proven to us that she belongs and is a legit threat on the court. She recently committed to playing at the next level with Texas A&M in the SEC. Luckily for us we can cover her for the next two years. She is one of the reasons that Cy Ranch is going ballistic this season. They are currently 28-3 overall and just started district and are 4-0. So far she has obliterated every statistical category from last year and she is not even done yet. She will do extremely well for the Aggies and we are so happy for her commitment. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing volleyball at the next level. And stay tuned for more coverage of this young lady soon. She has been on fire this year and has definitely earned the right to be in the running for an All-State award due to her play on the court. Cy Ranch has been on a tear and the six-foot junior is a big reason why. They are currently 38-3 overall and 14-0 in district. Bianna has 621 kills on a very impressive .421 hitting percentage from the outside. Please congratulate her on her stellar play and for earning a nomination for an All-State award. Well we have decided and Miss Muoneke has won due to her amazing play on the court. She was almost unstoppable all year and is so deserving of the award. We are proud to announce that she is the recipient of our publication’s inaugural 1st Team All-State award.” It was only a matter of time for us to add her. The main question we kept asking ourselves was where to rank her. After careful consideration she has catapulted past quite a few outstanding prospects and has landed in the top 20. She has every chance to continue to move up the rankings as she continues to wow the nation with her athleticism. We are very happy for her and looking forward to watching her play at the next level. Please congratulate her on earning the honor of being named one of the best players in the State of Texas.
Lola Fernandez Lola Fernandez 5'7" | DS/L RR Westwood | 2023 State TX [2023] 5-7 Libero (HS: RR Westwood/Club: Austin Juniors/ Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are proud to announce that Lola has earned a spot in the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 51st best overall prospect in the state in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays at Round Rock Westwood High School and Austin Juniors. We profiled her earlier when we nominated her for the award and here is what we wrote, “She has a phenomenal base that she plays the position with and has such a soft touch on both digs and serve receive passes. Austin Juniors does a phenomenal job with their players and she is just one more example of that pedigree. Lola has been stellar this high school season as she has tallied 756 digs, 744 service receptions, and 80 aces. Her dig count is good enough for 2ndmost in the entire state amongst juniors. We are extremely proud of her and how she has proven herself on the court amongst her peers. We will for sure be adding her into the rankings when we updated them in a few weeks. She was so productive in the back row this year and it is this reason why we have chosen her for 1stTeam All-State. We are proud of her accomplishment and look forward to covering her for the future.” Our eyes on on Lola and her Austin Juniors team this club season now that she is on our radar. We love the way she plays the position and think she is on a great trajectory to play at the next level. After much analysis and comparing her against other liberos in the class, we have chosen not only to add her to the State Rankings, but to vault her into the top 51 in the entire state. Please congratulate her on the honor as she definitely deserves the acknowledgement of being one of the best in the State of Texas.
Blaire Bayless Blaire Bayless 6'2" | OH Plano West | 2023 State #63 Nation TX [2023] 6-2 Outside (HS: Plano West/Club: Madfrog/Verbal: University of Pittsburgh)
Please welcome Blaire to the Prep Dig Family. She is currently ranked as the 48th best overall prospect according to the 2023 Prep Dig State Rankings list. She plays at Plano West high school and also club for the famed Madfrog volleyball club. She is a lengthy outstanding left side pin attacker who is signed to play college volleyball at the University of Pittsburgh. She really needs no introduction to the club world as she has been a highly touted recruit for a while. What I love about Blaire’s game is the fact that she is a lethal threat from literally every spot on the court whether in the front row or the back row. She is one player that opposing coaches must game plan around if they want to compete. She has every chance to continue to move up the rankings as the club season progresses. We are looking forward to watching her nationally ranked club squad compete at a very high level this club season. Please congratulate her on achieving the honor of being a State Ranked player.
