Don’t Miss These Day 1 Matchups at the PD Resolution

The Prep Dig Resolution tournament is fast approaching and there are going to be some great matchups happening right from the start. You will not want to miss these matches on day one of the Prep Dig Resolution tournament! <h3>Impact 17 National vs Milwaukee Sting 17 White</h3> Both teams are a great mix of returning athletes to each respective club and some fresh faces. This should make for a very competitive and fun match. This will be a great matchup that will allow both teams to shine. Impact is led by setter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91939" first="Alivia" last="Jeanquart"]</strong> who is an aggressive and smart setter. She moves the ball around with great tempo and is gritty on the court. Pin hitters <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="119397" first="Samantha" last="Kempinger"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91931" first="Kate" last="Henze"]</strong> are both very talented and have the potential to be valuable 6-rotation outside hitters. Middle hitter<strong> [player_tooltip player_id='184768' first='Lauren' last='Grier']</strong> will be an athlete to watch. She has huge potential and a massive vertical which will be dangerous on tempo plays from this team. Sting has some great offensive weapons. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="119426" first="Riley" last="Laine"]</strong> is gritty and talented in every aspect of the game. During high school season, she is a six-rotation middle hitter and has a high volleyball IQ. Pin hitters <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="149579" first="Ella" last="Kern"]</strong>, <strong>Samantha Koh</strong>l, and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='184771' first='Kenna' last='Kornely']</strong> are all unique in their playstyle but execute very well on offense. Setter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="149589" first="Hannah" last="Trotter"]</strong> has a lot of experience on the court as does libero<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="82910" first="Kyleigh" last="Coghlan"]</strong>. &nbsp; <h3>FC Elite 16 Navy vs Capital 18 Navy</h3> Despite there being a two-year age gap between these two teams it should be a highly competitive match. FC Elite has some athletes with a lot of experience on the court. Setter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122566" first="Emerson" last="Van Lannen"]</strong> played for Badger High Performance this past year and ran a 5-1 for Appleton North this season, the Division I State Runner-Up. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122498" first="Kamryn" last="Kaminski"]</strong> (setter),<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="122508" first="Elle" last="Kennedy"]</strong> (libero), and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122497" first="Olivia" last="Baierl"]</strong> (libero/pin) all were key players on the Howards Grove squad that won the Division III State Championship. Additionally, there are some powerful offensive weapons on this team including <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122527" first="Emma" last="Nilson"]</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122532" first="Annalise" last="Patchett"]</strong>, and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='181809' first='Madison' last='York']</strong>. Capital will have power and athleticism on their side. Libero <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="81275" first="Olivia" last="Karlen"]</strong> is quick and gritty on the court. Setter <strong>Kayla Buelling</strong> sees the court with a practiced eye and is consistent for her hitters. The pins will have a huge impact on this team and include <strong>Kyla Ziolkowski</strong>, <strong>Isabella Flaminio</strong>, and <strong>Kendall Weisensel</strong>. <h3>Capital 16 Adidas &nbsp;vs. FC Elite 15 Navy</h3> Both of these teams are very strong this year. Capital has a lot of firepower and FC Elite is very defensively savvy. On Capital's side, pin hitters <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='178289' first='Rebecca' last='Ring']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='180367' first='Gillian' last='Koning']</strong> are both top athletes in their class. They are each incredibly powerful and smart outsides that can play all six rotations. Setter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122524" first="Reagan" last="McIntosh"]</strong> has great ball control and is hard to read. She is a setter with a huge amount of potential. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122465" first="Katelin" last="Eggers"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122470" first="Ellery" last="Apel"]</strong> will lead the team defensively. Capital 16 Adidas has a ton of athletes who can execute consistently for their team. FC Elite 15 Navy also has some top talent in the class of 2025. Setters <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='178226' first='Madison' last='Tripp']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='178227' first='Alexa' last='Hernandez']</strong> both have great hands and movement on the court. They are strong as setters and defensively as well. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='178231' first='Campbell' last='Onell']</strong> can play on the right side or out of the middle. She is extremely powerful and aggressive at the net. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='178228' first='Ava' last='Reis']</strong> adds a lot of value to this team offensively. She has a great swing but plays very smart as well. <h3>Milwaukee Sting 16 White vs Impact 16 National</h3> This Sting team will be a team to watch out for this season. They are very well-rounded and have a lot of dynamic players. Setter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122579" first="Mahek" last="Grewal"]</strong> has a lot of experience and a lot of potential to continue growing. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122577" first="Briana" last="Binagi"]</strong> is very disciplined and has great form. She also has great contact on the ball and good power. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='181740' first='Taylor' last='Crisci']</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='181745' first='Audra' last='Rebarchik']</strong>, and<strong> [player_tooltip player_id='181738' first='Peri' last='Subat']</strong> are all talented middles who will make this offense dynamic and quick. Impact will have a great squad this year. They pulled up setter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='178345' first='Kaylin' last='Wegand']</strong> from the class of 2025 to round out their talented team. The other setter, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122474" first="Lauren" last="Bitters"]</strong> is quick and gritty on the court. Pin hitters <strong>Aval Pahl</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122463" first="Malayna" last="Dins"]</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='179730' first='Marin' last='Grossman'],</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="146963" first="Ella" last="Hawkins"]</strong> can each be utilized across the court and add a lot of depth to this roster.
