The event will feature four different legs between January and March and will provide a tremendous opportunity for younger prospects in the region to showcase their games as the Power League has received nearly 500 entries in each of its five divisions.
The 15 Club division is the one expected to have the highest level as several of the prospects we’ll be able to watch have already made some noise during the last high school season. Over the next few days, we’ll highlight some of the prospects in the division you should keep an eye on, starting with the setters.
Kenedy Massie – Skyline 15 Royal – HS: Manvel – 2025
Kenedy Massie had a fantastic freshman high school season with Manvel, leading the Mavericks to a State Tournament appearance. The 5’10” setter made the team better in every area of the game, ending the season with 1,257 assists (8.9 per set), 273 digs, 96 kills and 56 aces. One of the things that make Massie great is her extremely high volleyball IQ, which allows her to make good decisions. She’s also very calm and works really well under pressure, remaining consistent no matter what. Massie has a stellar lineup of hitters to work with at Skyline 15 Royal, which should enhance her game even further.
Kirra Musgrove – HJV 15 Elite – HS: Clear Falls – 2025
Another of the most promising class of 2025 prospects in the state of Texas, Kirra Musgrove checks all the boxes for the position. Besides having all the technical skills to thrive in the position and a high volleyball IQ, Musgrove also stands at 6’1” and is a lefty, which makes of her a factor at the net. Her great all-around game was in display during the high school season, when she produced 576 assists, 408 digs and 343 kills for Clear Falls. She’s already a highly touted prospect in Texas, having recently made it to both the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Phenom List and the USA Volleyball’s National Team Development Program (NTDP) National Indoor Winter Training Series.
Madison Garza – TAV Houston 15 Adidas – HS: Covenant Preparatory – 2025
Madison Garza has also done extremely well during her first high school season as she made it to the TAPPS All-District First Team after a solid campaign with Covenant Preparatory. The 5’7” Garza is very technical and extremely reliable. She makes good decisions when it comes to ball distribution and is very consistent with her location. Garza also does a great in moving her feet quickly and putting her body in the best possible position to set. She can score with smart and well-placed shots as well.
