Another premier club in Bowling Green, KY, Southern Kentucky Elite Volleyball Academy (SKEVA) has some talented players from various areas in Kentucky and Tennessee. To start off the series, here are some athletes to highlight from their top 18s team.

[player_tooltip player_id="126308" first="Charli" last="Hodges"]- An outside or opposite hitter from Bowling Green High School, [player_tooltip player_id="126308" first="Charli" last="Hodges"] will be a go-to offensive player for this squad. Hodges was a stud for the Lady Purples where they made history this past year as district and region champs. One of their goals was to "hang a banner," and this charge was led by senior, Hodges, where she had the most kills at 362 and 52 blocks on the season. Hodges is a country strong kid with a fierce attitude while playing. SKEVA is lucky to have her! Charli is currently uncommitted.

Emma Loiars- Personally, one of my favorites to watch, Emma Loiars is a flat out baller from Greenwood High School. In her junior campaign back in 2020, she was just a defensive specialist for the talented region winning team, but this year in 2021 for her senior year, Loiars stepped up to become a 6 rotation go-to outside hitter. Her numbers speak for themselves with 262 kills, 24 blocks, 298 digs, and a whopping 110 service aces. Who knows what Loiars will do for her club team, but she will definitely impact the squad from anywhere on the court.

Renee Keck- A senior from Station Camp High School in Tennessee, Renee Keck is a 5’10 beast! Keck has been a stud for Station Camp the past two years as a 6 rotation outside hitter, and she’s coming in hot for her last club season with a district championship under her belt. One of her talents is how she can take care of the out of system balls but also the fact she can take these "trash" balls and turn them into kills. Keck is also very effective at turning down the line and getting kills which is important in a fast offense. It will be fun to watch this girl her last club season. Keck is currently uncommitted!

Caroline Law- From Ohio County, Caroline Law, will be an important piece of the puzzle as a setter for the SKEVA 18 Blue squad. Law was a stud player for her school where she had 152 kills, 19 blocks, and led her team in assists with 417 and added 63 service aces. She will be a star setter for this team along with Greenwood High School’s Megan Gore. Law is one of those athletes that just plays because she loves it and brings that fun culture to the team. Her sister, Anna Law, now plays at Queens University, so it will be interesting to see where Caroline goes after this season!
