– Outside Hitter – Club: Washington Volleyball Academy – HS: Bothell
At first sight, Haedyn Bambolo Haedyn Bambolo 6'1" | OH Bothell | 2023 State WA looks like ‘just’ an elite scorer who uses her physical tools extremely well. That’s the impression anyone would get from a 6’1” outside hitter with one of the heaviest arms in the entire state, but she’s much more than that. Her physicality is, indeed, impressive, but Bambolo has worked hard to improve her overall game. This past high school season with Bothell was a great example of how well-rounded her game is as she tallied 372 kills, 56 aces, 44 blocks, 392 digs and 420 passes. Bambolo is also a great setter in transition when needed.
Danikah Jonhson – Middle Blocker – Club: Renovators – HS: Mead
Recently crowned as a state champion with her high school team Mead, Danikah Johnson is an up-and-coming middle blocker in Washington. She had a tremendous performance during the last high school season, tallying 169 kills and 122 blocks for the Panthers and made it to the Washington Coaches Association All-state second team. Johnson stands at 6’1” and is very active at the net on both sides of the game, providing great defensive support with her big and intelligent blocking and a reliable scoring option, either from the middle or the right.
Sophia (Sophie) Caoili Sophia (Sophie) Caoili 5'7" | OH Kentridge | 2023 State WA – Outside Hitter/Defensive Specialist – Club: Puget Sound Volleyball Academy – HS: Kentridge
A 5’7” outside hitter with excellent technique and great understanding of the game, Sophia (Sophie) Caoili Sophia (Sophie) Caoili 5'7" | OH Kentridge | 2023 State WA is one of those players who quietly stuff the stats sheet. Caoili’s game is very complete, which allows her to play as an outside hitter, right sider and even defensive specialist. She’s outstanding in the backcourt and produces more than one would expect from a player of her size at the net thanks to her combination of good leaping ability, a very fast arm and a smart shot selection.
