Top ’23s to Watch at the PD Resolution

The Prep Dig Resolution tournament is just a few days away, and preparations for a successful event are in full swing (and have been for a while)! The 17/18 Open division of the Prep Dig Resolution is loaded with top talent in the class of 2023. Here is a breakdown of the top athletes to watch! <h3>[player_tooltip player_id="91911" first="Meghan" last="Scholz"] – [program_tooltip program_id='428662' first='Wisconsin' last='Ice'] 17 National – Committed to DePaul – Middle Blocker</h3> Meghan is one of the top athletes in the class of 2023. She is fast, powerful, and incredibly athletic. She uses each set she gets to be aggressive and earn points for her team. Additionally, she puts up a massive block. <h3>[player_tooltip player_id="91887" first="Addison" last="Schmotzer"] – Capital 17 Adidas – Committed to St. Thomas – Middle Blocker</h3> Addison is an explosive middle who moves across the net efficiently and takes up a lot of space on the net defensively. She has a lot of power, great shots, and makes tough, momentum-changing plays in tight matches. She is engaged on every play and is a go-to hitter on this team. <h3>[player_tooltip player_id="91878" first="Paige" last="Miller"] – [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] 17 Navy – Committed to Ohio State – Libero</h3> Paige is a must-watch athlete this weekend. She reads the court incredibly well and is nearly impossible to score on. In addition, Paige is an energizer on the court who has a high volleyball IQ and will do pretty much anything to keep the ball alive. <h3>[player_tooltip player_id="119399" first="Amelia" last="Albers"] – Capital 17 Adidas – Libero/DS</h3> Amelia has an incredibly clean contact on the ball. She reacts fast on defense and serve receive and has crisp angles on her platform that set her team up for success. She is tough to ace or get a kill on and is disciplined in her movement in the back row. Amelia is also scrappy and quick in the back row. <h3>[player_tooltip player_id="149606" first="Lilly" last="Bandle"] – I AM VBC 17 Red – Middle Blocker</h3> Lilly is the definition of an energizer on the court. She has a powerful swing and is engaged in every play. Lilly makes momentum-changing plays for her team, even in tough matches. She is a natural leader on the court and is a fun athlete to watch. <h3>Samantha Pelberg – [program_tooltip program_id='428662' first='Wisconsin' last='Ice'] 17 National – Outside Hitter</h3> Samantha is an explosive 6-rotation outside who balances power and finesse very well. She is not afraid to be aggressive on both offense and defense and is a natural leader on the court. She is consistent on serve receive and gritty in the back row. <h3>[player_tooltip player_id='184769' first='Skye' last='McDermott'] – Capital 17 Navy – Setter</h3> Skye is one of the grittiest athletes on the court. She is a huge energizer for her team and can be effective not only as a setter but also defensively, from the service line and on offense. She is strong on serve receive and defense. She also has a powerful swing and a toolbox of shots in her back pocket. Sam is one of the top athletes who should be on your radar going into this weekend. As a pin, she is the whole package! <h3>[player_tooltip player_id="119426" first="Riley" last="Laine"] – [program_tooltip program_id='428672' first='Milwaukee' last='Sting'] 17 White – Middle Blocker</h3> Riley is a gritty and competitive athlete who works incredibly hard on every point. She earns many points for her team and adjusts well as a blocker and offensive weapon. Riley is smart and sees the court very well. She has a notable impact every time she is on the court. <h3>[player_tooltip player_id="149576" first="Jamie" last="Puent"] – Capital 17 Navy – Outside Hitter</h3> Jamie is an excellent 6-rotation outside. She makes great plays on defense, has consistent shots, and executes on offense in out-of-system plays. Jamie also has a very competitive serve that usually keeps her on the service line for several points at a time. <h3>[player_tooltip player_id="91894" first="Rachel" last="Koss"] – [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] 17 Navy – Setter</h3> Rachel has great hands, disciplined movement, and a high volleyball IQ. She sees the court very well and has fantastic connections with her hitters. Rachel is hard to read and runs great tempo balls, which opens up many options for her hitters. She gets touches on balls you would never believe could be saved. Sophia is also a great leader on the court and highly competitive. She moves the ball around well and can also be utilized as a hitter.
