The Oklahoma senior class left it all out on the court through some serious play. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be added to our prestigious State Rankings through their play on the court. Please welcome them with open arms.
Karson Pirtle Karson Pirtle 5'7" | OH Skitook | 2022 State OK [2022] 5-7 Outside (HS: Skiatook/Club: UPVBC/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Karson to the Prep Dig Family. We are proud to announce that she is currently ranked as the 40th best overall player in the 2022 class. Miss Pirtle plays at Skiatook HS and also for Ultimate Performance Volleyball Club. She is a very solid six-rotation outside hitter who has ball control for days. While she might be undersized for her position compared to others listed in our rankings, she makes up for it in volleyball IQ and the ability to place the ball wherever she wants to. She is a silky smooth player who has great court vision and excellent ball skills. She has enough power to score against anyone but what I really like is she can hit off of hands to score out of bounds and she does it a lot. It is a difficult skill to master but Miss Pirtle does it routinely with ease. Please congratulate her on the honor of being named one of the best players in the Sooner state.
Katelyn Branson Katelyn Branson 5'6" | OH Santa Fe | 2022 State OK [2022] 5-6 Libero (HS: Edmond Santa Fe/Club: Rise/Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are proud to announce that Katelyn is currently ranked as the 42nd best overall prospect and 8th best libero according to our class of 2022 Prep Dig State Rankings. She stars for Edmond Santa Fe high school and the Rise volleyball program. I was lucky enough to watch her in person early in the high school season at the Bishop McGuinness volleyball tourney and also just recently at the Redland Rendezvous tourney last month. This young lady wowed me with her court play in high school as she doubles as an outside hitter for Santa Fe. She not only can hit, but scores with ferocity on the left side. Do not sleep on her athleticism as she is super bouncy and can get up with the best of them. Her timing is perfect on every approach and she has a cannon despite her small frame. For club, Rise has her playing at libero, which is more toward where she will get recruited at. She brings those super fast twitch muscle fibers to a position that allows her to be explosive in the back row. College coaches…give her a good look if you are wanting someone who will definitely bolster your back row ball control. Please congratulate her on the honor as she definitely deserves the acknowledgement of being one of the best in the State of Oklahoma.
Carmen Villarreal Carmen Villarreal 5'10" | OH MacArthur | 2022 State OK [2022] 5-10 Outside (HS: MacArthur/Signed: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Carmen to the Prep Dig Family. She is currently ranked as the 43rd best overall prospect according to the 2022 Prep Dig State Rankings list. She plays at MacArthur high school. She was one of the main reasons why her varsity squad went to back-to-back state tournament appearances. Carmen is a stud attacker who can score from either pin. While she scores very well on the left side, I happen to think she has a very natural and lethal right side attack. Her line shot is a weapon that is very difficult to stop and she utilizes it often. It has some serious pop to it and will catch you off guard if you are not in a good position to play it. We think she has what it takes to play at the next level so please give her a good look. Please congratulate her on achieving the honor of being a State Ranked player.
