Continue ReadingWe have been watching the 2024 class very closely throughout the entire high school season and used the data of wins and losses, stats, district finishes, awards, in person tournaments, matches and of course the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be moved up the rankings. Please congratulate the following athletes.
Savannah Skopal Savannah Skopal 6'0" | S Rouse | 2024 State #39 Nation TX [2024] 6-0 Setter (HS: Rouse/Club: Austin Juniors/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Miss Skopal has moved up the and is now ranked as the 6th best overall player and the top setter in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays at Rouse HS and also club for Austin Juniors. We profiled her a few times this year and stated the following, “She is on pace to be one of the best setters to ever come out of Rouse HS. She plays well beyond her years and that is due to some amazing coaching in club and high school. Please remember her name as she is one to watch. Miss Skopal has been nothing short of spectacular this high school season. She is proving not only to be the best setter in her class but has also put her name in the running for one of the best setters in the state regardless of grad class. Her 1,328 assists are the main reason why her Rouse varsity squad is sitting at an overall record of 32-12 and a district record of 13-1. They have been ranked as one of the best teams in the state all year long and Savannah is one huge reason why. This young lady is good enough to be in the running for the best setter in ANY grad class.” We are proud to announce that she has moved up two spots in the rankings. This class is littered with astounding hitters that will grace the rosters of Division 1 schools but they can’t do what Savannah does. She is the reason why any hitter would be great if they had her dishing the ball to her. She has the potential to be the best player in the entire grad class regardless of position and we will keep watching her progress. Please congratulate her on the achievement.
Ayden Ames Ayden Ames 6'4" | MB Prosper | 2024 State #3 Nation TX [2024] 6-3 Outside/Middle (HS: Prosper/Club: Texas Advantage /Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are very proud of this young lady as she has moved up the rankings a ton since moving over to Texas from Cali. She is now a Texan. Ayden is now ranked as the 10th best overall prospect and also the 2nd best middle in the 2024 class although she just proved that she can play the outside position just as well. We profiled her a few times now that she has taken the Lone Star State by storm and here is a little refresher on her, “Ayden plays for Prosper High School and also for the nationally recognized Texas Advantage Volleyball program. This young lady is a transfer from Cali as she played for the awesome Mizuno Long Beach club program and is no stranger to competing at the highest level in the sport. She went to a Prosper high school program that is used to being a staple in the UIL State Playoff picture. They graduated some big seniors but with Miss Ames falling in their lap, they are in good hands for a while. She is talented super stud who has people turning their heads already. California’s loss is definitely our gain here in Texas. She was selected to USA’s Indoor High Performance A1 training program as a rising freshman. She is the real deal and has what it takes to move up the rankings as long as she stays in the state. We want to welcome her with open arms to our State Ranking List and can’t wait to watch her progress in the future. While most players who move to Texas might be intimidated, Ayden flexed her muscles and showed that she belongs in the conversation for All-State consideration. She accumulated 455 kills, good enough for 9thmost amongst all sophomore outsides across the state, on a very impressive .245 hitting percentage. She also added 138 digs, 50 blocks, and 46 aces on the season. What is truly amazing is the fact that her coach asked her to switch from middle to outside and then she still had this much production against some of the best competition this state has to offer.” We were able to watch her in person this past weekend and was astonished at just how polished she is on the court in both the front row and the back row. While her skill-set on the court is what everyone will notice, what I truly loved when I watch her play is just how composed and comfortable she is on the court despite playing against amazing talent. She is having fun on the court and you can see how much she loves the game while she celebrates with her teammates. We will keep moving her up the rankings as we watch her grow into an amazing player. Please help us congratulate her on moving up the rankings.
Alice Volpe Alice Volpe 5'5" | DS/L Bridgeland | 2024 State #83 Nation TX [2024] 5-3 Libero (HS: Bridgeland/Club: Houston Juniors /Verbal: Uncommitted)
Miss Volpe made one of the biggest jumps in the State Rankings in this update. Alice jumped 16 spots from being the 30th best overall prospect to now the 16th best overall prospect and the 2nd best libero in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. We wrote about her a few times already and here is a little to remind you of what we said about her previously, “Miss Volpe is a fantastic libero from the Houston area. She is the daughter of Rice University Head Volleyball coach Genny Volpe and plays high school for Bridgeland HS and also club for Houston Juniors . She also plays on the beach circuit with her teammates at Houston Juniors and is a stud there too. It takes a great athlete in order to excel in both sports and it truly shows her ball control abilities in the sand. Her footwork is truly amazing during indoor volleyball and she is always properly balanced during contact. Her long legs help her ball pursuit and aid in her strong ability to cushion contact while she collapses on the dig. This is one reason why her contact on hard driven balls is so soft. Miss Volpe star is on the rise as she keeps getting better and better each time she steps on the court. We love her ball control and think her ceiling is ridiculously high for improvement over the next few years. I would put her footwork against any defensive player in the class. We have been watching very closely and Alice has the second most digs in the entire state of Texas amongst all sophomores. Her tally of 699 digs so far is amazing. She has her varsity team at 35-11 overall and 12-2 in district. They just beat Tomball to advance in the UIL playoffs. The awesome play of Miss Volpe is definitely going to help them stay the course and be competitive. Alice has proven that she is special. What she did at the varsity level to help her team go as far as they did in the playoffs this year was amazing. We have chosen to award Miss Volpe as 1st Team All-State for our publication due to what she meant to both her team and the position in her entire grad class. We have every intention of moving her up the rankings once we update them in a few weeks. In the meantime please help us congratulate her on the amazing achievement of 1st Team All-State.” We are proud of just how much she is improving in her position and think the sky is the limit for her. She is in fantastic hands while playing club at the famed Houston Juniors volleyball club as they will get her college ready. We are excited to watch her this club season. Please congratulate her on moving up the rankings.
