The event reunites some of the best club volleyball talent in the state of Washington and we’ll preview it by recommending five 17s teams to follow when matches start on Saturday.
PJVBC 17 National
The team from the Puyallup Juniors Volleyball Club is fresh from winning their division in the Annual Las Vegas Classic last weekend. Ranked third in the state according to AES, 17 National has also finished second in the Evergreen State Showdown and third in the PJVBC Winter Classic U18. Their win record for the season is currently at 25-12.

Players to Watch
Vallane Sneva – Outside Hitter – HS: North Thurston – 2023
A six-foot outside hitter with excellent athleticism and length, Vallane ‘Laney’ Sneva frequently carries PJVBC 17 National’s offensive load. She has a cannon of a right arm and is versatile enough to score from the left and the right and is nearly unstoppable when hitting crosscourt because of the power she’s able to transfer to the ball. Sneva had a highly-productive high school season with North Thurston, registering 129 kills and 37 blocks.
Hollis Downing – Middle Blocker – HS: Puyallup – 2023
Standing at 6’3”, Hollis Downing brings a massive net presence to PJVBC 17 National. Her long arms and legs give her the perfect physical tools to dominate the game as she can not only move well at the net but also make an impact on offense and defense. Downing has a well-developed offensive game and is very explosive when set in the middle, even if in transition. Her blocking game is also very efficient as she’s capable of taking up a lot of space, but also reads her opponents well. Last season, Downing tallied 97 kills and 57 blocks for Puyallup.

Madison Brauner Madison Brauner 5'5" | S Emerald Ridge | 2023 State WA is the engine that keeps PJVBC 17 National’s amazing set of offensive players working in rhythm. The 5’6’” is one of the most talented in the entire state and has north of 1,000 assists in three high school seasons with Emerald Ridge. Brauner is very creative in how she runs the team’s offense, often making use of combination plays and pulling hitters to different spots on the court, but is also very consistent and reliable. Her last high school season was also a very good one, with 782 assists, 127 digs, 41 kills and 17 aces.
