We’re beyond the halfway point of the Prep Dig Circuit with plenty of Top Performers, Champions Crowned, and plenty of athletes who need to be on the radar of college coaches - especially from the Class of 2023. We’ve seen these athletes live, some of them multiple times, and what is fun for us as scouts is we get to see their progression as athletes on the court each time. Here is a little glimpse for college coaches for athletes who have played at some of our Prep Dig Circuit events.

Setters:

I love watching athletic and dynamic setters who can do a little bit of everything. These setters have shown they can lead, run the show, and can contribute. [player_tooltip player_id="91894" first="Rachel" last="Koss"] and [player_tooltip player_id="119422" first="Alexandra" last="Kreutzmann"] are a solid duo for FC Elite 17 Navy, they have a variety of attackers who score points and these two can scramble to get their hands on the ball out of system. Out of Illinois there were a couple who stood out at the Stateline Slam and Chi-Town Classic that are under the radar and would be next level players. Olivia Gustafsson is a really dynamic athlete who can swing on the right side and is a crafty left handed player. She just makes so many things happen for her side of the net. Louisa Battin of Top Flight 18 Elite is on the rise! She’s 6’1 and is touching just under ten feet. Her athleticism above all is the name of her game and her potential at the college level is way up there. [player_tooltip player_id="91952" first="Evinae" last="Jordee"] had a nice weekend at the Chi-Town Classic. The Capital 17 Adidas setter is another lefty who can contribute in a variety of ways where she can be offensive as well. [player_tooltip player_id="91885" first="Sophia" last="Schneider"] is one of the top all around players in 2023 in Wisconsin who is a swiss army knife type player who can set and score points from the outside as well.

Middle Blockers:

College coaches are always looking for middle blockers, especially ones who can do a variety of things from taking away space from opposing attackers, running multiple tempos, and being efficient. When it comes to touching high, Gabrielle Peter plays extremely high above the net. The Top Flight 18 Elite middle is listed at touching at 10 feet and after seeing her play live, I definitely see it. Another athlete who is playing real high is [player_tooltip player_id="149575" first="Sierra" last="Pertzborn"] from Capital 17 Adidas, she has made plenty of gains this past year and has a high ceiling at the next level. A new athlete on the radar is Lauren Grier of Impact 17 National. Grier had a huge Chi-Town Classic where she was automatic on the slide. She was scoring plenty of points and showed a ton of athleticism.

Pin Hitters:

Plenty of attackers who know how to put a ball away for teams in the Prep Dig Circuit. Milwaukee Sting 17 White kicked off the Prep Dig Resolution with a final four finish where Kenna Kornely and [player_tooltip player_id="149579" first="Ella" last="Kern"] provided big swings where they can attack with power, but also hold their own in the backrow. Wisconsin Ice 17 National has two big time pin attackers in [player_tooltip player_id="149694" first="Samantha" last="Perlberg"] and [player_tooltip player_id="175530" first="Emily" last="Brenner"]. Perlberg plays a really solid middle back defense while Brenner is really physical in the front line. Impact 17 National has two Fox Valley Lutheran athletes in [player_tooltip player_id="91931" first="Kate" last="Henze"] and [player_tooltip player_id="119397" first="Samantha" last="Kempinger"] who can put a hurt on the ball and score plenty of points. They were runner up in the Chi-Town Classic 17s Division. FC Elite 17 Navy has two powerful swings on the pin with [player_tooltip player_id="82921" first="Kaitlin" last="Schulz"] and [player_tooltip player_id="119431" first="Finley" last="Charapata"]. Schulz is the six rotation player who can attack from the backrow and Charapata has a heavy swing that makes it tough to keep in system.

Libero/DS:

One of the top available liberos in the Class of 2023 in Wisconsin as well as one of the top liberos in the Prep Dig Circuit is [player_tooltip player_id="119399" first="Amelia" last="Albers"] from Capital 17 Adidas. She moves well, has a really quiet platform and doesn’t have any wasted motion about her game. She keeps things simple. [player_tooltip player_id="82910" first="Kyleigh" last="Coghlan"] is part of a solid Sting 17 White squad where she has always been consistent among the 2023’s. She is an All State player from Kettle Moraine. FC Elite defensive specialist [player_tooltip player_id="119396" first="Kennedy" last="Schmitz"] always plays with plenty of grit and is one who has been a standout on the high school scene as well. [player_tooltip player_id="149605" first="Ella" last="Rosner"] had a big weekend for Impact 17 National in Chicago with her scrappy play.

Other 2023s To Note.
