A week after the 18s and 16s divisions conducted Tournament 1, it was the 15s and 17s age groups going at it for their first tournament of the four-tournament schedule. Prep Dig was on hand for both Saturday and Sunday action. Below, we list six top attackers from the 15s that we witnessed.
Brianna Brewer, OH, Tstreet 15 Curtis – There’s an aggressiveness that Brewer attacks with where she doesn’t back down. She gets off the ground well and hits her attacks with good pace.
Ava Poinsett, OH, Coast 15-1 – Poinsett gets a lot of action on the pin for Coast. She jumps fairly well and has a good, strong swing. She’s also active when it comes to covering the back row on defense.
Kelsey Kim, OH, SG Elite 15 Rosh – Kim carries quite the load for SG. She gets set a lot and does her best to stay aggressive with her attacking. She’s also a big part of serve receive, where she’s an effective passer.
Deavan Antoine-Dillon, RS, SG Elite 15 Rosh – Antoine-Dillon provides SG with a legitimate option on the right side. She’s a strong hitter with a hard attack and she’s not afraid to let it loose when she swings.
Keila Gabriel, RS, Wave 15 Rachel – The attack changes for Wave when Gabriel subs in the front row. She’s tall and gives her setter a nice target on the right side. She’s also a good blocker, helping slow down the attack.
Quinn Loper, RS, Tstreet 15 Curtis – Loper can play on the right or at outside. She’s another tall hitter and that allows her to see the court well. She can also put pressure on the defense with the ability to attack both down the line or cross court well.
