Steel City Freeze Showcase Top Performers Junior/Senior Class

<p>The upperclassmen really stood out at the Steel City Freeze Showcase. To say I was impressed with this group is an understatement. They showed their athletic abilities which I’m sure turned a lot of scouts heads this year. The following are the player that made the Top Performers list.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Gianna Blair</strong> - <em>MB / NFVB 17 Navy</em></p> <p>One of the tallest players in the gym, at 6’2 she made her presence known at the net. She was able to jump high and press over the net making it hard for the other side to get a good swing.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Staci Kuzler</strong> - <em>DS/Libero / Limitless Volleyball Club</em></p> <p>They say big things come in small packages, that is definitely true of Kuzler. At 5’4 she held her own, taking charge in the back row and giving the setter a perfect pass to send to the hitters. Very fun player to watch.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Molly Ryan</strong> - <em>Setter / Niagra Frontier Volleyball</em></p> <p>Molly had such a smooth, graceful jump set, it was hard to look away. She made it look so easy and the hitters were surely hoping to be on her court during the drills.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Ava Bolen</strong> - <em>MB / Ohio Valley Volleyball Company 17 Green</em></p> <p>6’1 Middle that had a fast arm swing and was able to hit a quick tempo ball with quite a bit of force behind it. Equally as powerful with her blocking ability, shutting down the hitters that came up against her in the drills.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="114563" first="Ellie" last="Zuro"]</strong> - <em>OH / Elite Ohio 17</em></p> <p>Ellie was hands down my favorite in the gym. An all-around athlete, she could get it done in the front or back row. She had a powerful swing and was smart about where to place the ball. So fun to watch and for sure will be turning a lot of heads this season.</p>
