Top 16s Teams Headed to the Chi-Town Classic

<p>There are some very high-level teams from the Badger Region headed to the Chi-Town classic. This division will be competitive from start to finish. Serve receive and the tempo of play will be huge in setting the tone for the weekend.</p> <h3>FC Elite 16 Navy – Competing in the 17s Division</h3> <p>This FC Elite 16 Navy is incredibly talented and won the 17s/18s division of the Prep Dig Resolution Tournament. They will be dominant this year on a national level. On defense, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122508" first="Elle" last="Kennedy"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122497" first="Olivia" last="Baierl"]</strong> are both highly competitive and reliable. They both are excellent defenders and high-level serve receivers.</p> <p>The pins on this team are very dynamic. <strong>Peyton Carlson</strong> will be a top athlete in the class of 2026. She is playing up two divisions on this already incredible team. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122532" first="Annalise" last="Patchett"]</strong> is a great 6-rotation athlete who is lethal on offense anywhere on the court. She is also very strong defensively and from the service line.<strong> Madison York</strong> on the right side was a breakout athlete at the Resolution a few weeks ago.</p> <p>Setters <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122498" first="Kamryn" last="Kaminski"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122566" first="Emerson" last="Van Lannen"]</strong> both have a lot of experience and run great tempo balls. They have fast hands, make smart decisions, and are gritty on the court. This team excels in its resiliency. Every time the ball doesn’t go their way they fight back even harder.</p> <h3>Capital 16 Adidas</h3> <p>This is another team that will be dominant in this age division not only in the Midwest but likely on a national level. Both setters <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122524" first="Reagan" last="McIntosh"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="151425" first="Ella" last="Weber"]</strong> are great athletes who are natural leaders on the court. They are dynamic in their abilities and move the ball around efficiently and smartly.</p> <p>Pin hitter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="178289" first="Rebecca" last="Ring"]</strong> is oozing with potential. She is in the class of 2025 playing up an age level. She has already made an impact on this team as a 6-rotation outside hitter. Her power is explosive. Fellow pin hitter <strong>Gillian Koning</strong> has a lot of experience on the court and is highly competitive in all six rotations. She has a huge vertical and high reach that makes her lethal on offense.</p> <p>Middle hitter <strong>Diane Pichelman</strong> rounds out this team very well. She is very fast and outruns her opponents. She also puts up a very big and consistent block. Diane also has a lot of power. Libero <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122470" first="Ellery" last="Apel"]</strong> has a huge impact in the back row and keeps the ball alive on even the toughest plays.</p> <h3>Capital 16 Navy</h3> <p>The talent runs deep across the board at this age division. This Capital 16 Navy team is a top contender and is loaded with skill. Libero <strong>Jessica Neild</strong> has superb ball control and clean angles on the ball. Fellow libero <strong>Alexandra Prange</strong> is quick and scrappy. She is lightning fast across the court and covers incredibly well.</p> <p>Middle hitter <strong>Kate Duchemin</strong> has a lot of potential and takes up a lot of space at the net. At 6’0” with a solid vertical, she puts up a great block and is consistent on offense. Pin hitter <strong>Madeline Klaeh</strong>n is a go-to hitter on this team. She has a great vertical and rarely makes mistakes. She has good ball control on offense, defense, and serve receive and executes well in the front row.</p> <h3>Impact 16 National</h3> <p>This Impact team is very well-rounded. They have talent in every position. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122463" first="Malayna" last="Dins"]</strong> is a pin that flies high. She has an explosive approach and manufactures kills for this team. Malayna is a go-to hitter and a great snap on the ball. Fellow pin <strong>Marin Grossman</strong> has a lot of potential and is great at hitting across the net. She adjusts well to different sets and angles no matter where she is or what she is running.</p> <p>Setter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="178345" first="Kaylin" last="Wegand"]</strong> is in the class of 2025 and playing up a year on this team. She has clean hands and good movement on the court. Kaylin has a high volleyball IQ and is very smart and savvy with her sets. The other setter on this team is also very talented. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122474" first="Lauren" last="Bitters"]</strong> is gritty and moves the ball around like a seasoned pro. She adjusts for her hitters well and is a natural leader on the court.</p> <p>Libero <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122561" first="Maddox" last="Stille"]</strong> excels on serve receive. She reads opposing servers early and has clean, simple movements to the ball. Her consistency on serve receive sets her team up for success. Maddox is also talented on defense and is just an all-around great athlete.</p>
