Triple Crown NIT Recap – OK Charge 16 UA
In this article:
There were hundreds of talented teams from across the country competing in this awesome tournament. Oklahoma was well represented by a few in three divisions. We will be highlighting a few of the players that showcased their skill-sets in Kansas City. Oklahoma Charge 16 UA has a few players listed in our state rankings. I was able to watch them in person as they battled some of the best teams in the country. They showed really well despite a tough record. Two of their losses went to three sets but they could have gone either way. We are extremely proud of their showing and they should be too as they represented Oklahoma very well. They were extremely competitive as many college coaches were watching around the gym. Here are a few of the players that stood out to me while I watched.
Avery Moses Avery Moses 5'5" | DS/L Mt. St. Mary | 2024 State OK [2024] 5-5 Libero (HS: Mount St. Mary/Club: Oklahoma Charge/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Avery is currently ranked as our 35th best overall and 8rd best libero prospect in the 2024 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays for Mount St. Mary High School and also club for Oklahoma Charge. This fiery back row stud looked very good in the two matches I watched. She was talking to her teammates pre-serve and was flying around for errant balls so her team could stay in the rally. She did not back down when her team got down and stepped up to dig some hard driven balls. She showed a lot of heart for her squad. I really liked how she was creating solid angles during serve receive and holding her form well after the pass to ensure good location. We will be watching her closely for the rest of the season to see how much she progresses. She really stood out with her back row play to me. Stay tuned for more on Miss Moses.
Ally Fees Ally Fees 5'11" | OH Mt. St. Mary | 2024 State OK [2024] 5-11 Outside (HS: Mt St. Mary/Club: Oklahoma Charge/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Ally to the Prep Dig Family. We are proud to announce that she is currently ranked as the 16th best overall prospect and 6th best left side in the 2024 class. Miss Fees plays volleyball at Mount St. Mary and also club for Oklahoma Charge. She was their captain and led them in true leader fashion. When Charge needed a kill, she was there to answer the bell. I love how she fears no one and relishes in those big moments. True attackers don’t worry about getting blocked or making the error and Miss Fees is the definition of this. Great hand contact and the ability to move the ball around blockers is one reason why she was their kill leader when I watched. This team will go as far as her right arm will take them. We will enjoy watching her for the rest of the season.
Josie Brady Josie Brady 6'1" | MB Oklahoma Christian | 2024 State OK [2024] 5-11 Middle (HS: Oklahoma Christian/Club: Oklahoma Charge/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Josie is currently ranked as our 23rd best overall prospect and the 5th best middle prospect in the 2024 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays for Oklahoma Christian High School and also club volleyball for the awesome Oklahoma Charge program. I love how fired up she gets for her teammates when they score. She enjoys playing the game and it is noticeable for every person who is watching. Charge needed her blocking and she came through many times when I was watching the match. Her arm swing is a little unorthodox but it works and you don’t fix what isn’t broken. She still hits the ball with tons of power and scores a lot out of the middle. We will keep watching her as the season continues and you should too.
