A fun list to put together and seeing the talent in the Saint Louis area again is excellent. Here are the next six for the Saint Louis second team.

[player_tooltip player_id="169897" first="Jenna" last="Cubbage"] – MB – 5’11” Eureka

Springy middle plays on a team that older outstanding athlete dominated, but the freshman was a huge asset for the Wildcats. She finished her season 6th in kills with 91 but 3rd in blocks and performed like a veteran and will be a big-time player when she’s relied on more offensively—one of my favorite 2025 middles to watch in the area.

[player_tooltip player_id="168038" first="Sophia" last="Helling"] – OH – 5’8” - Union

The Wildcats have a tremendous performer in freshman Helling as she would lead her team in kills and digs and was a primary passer. High volleyball IQ and fluid movement Helling will do everything for Union in her career. She has a knack for seeing the ball come out of the hitters and moving defensively to scoop up the ball. I can see her playing libero at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="168039" first="Lillian" last="Paul"] -Setter/Outside – 5’11” - Lutheran South

One player I can see eventually becoming a big-time recruit as a setter. Tall and athletic with great hands. She would finish the year 2nd in kills, 3rd in blocks, 2nd in aces and assists.

[player_tooltip player_id="170037" first="Caroline" last="Tomlinson"] – MB – 6’0” - Pacific

Tomlinson helped guide her high school team to its first district championship in years and did so with authority. Led her team in aces, kills and finished 2nd in blocks. Her athletic abilities have so much upside that she will rack up many colleges offers over the next couple of years. She’s very aggressive in her swings, and her wingspan and hang time allow her to take advantage of the block.

[player_tooltip player_id="170039" first="Kaitlin" last="Payne"] – OH – 5’10” - Pacific

Pacific will be strong over the next three years, with Payne and [player_tooltip player_id="170037" first="Caroline" last="Tomlinson"] heading up the offense. Not only is Payne an aggressive outside, but she plays outstanding defense. In her first year, Kaitlin would finish 2nd in kills, aces, digs, and serve reception. Couple more years of development, she will be one of the leading attackers in the area.

[player_tooltip player_id="168046" first="Katelyn" last="Diani-O’Day"] – Setter – 5’10” - Lutheran St. Peters

Some players get it, and Katelyn is one of those kids. She would run her offense to perfection and often use that wicked setter dump and was very successful. Katelyn finished with 804 assists, first in aces with an excellent jump float and 3rd in digs. Keep an eye on this one as she progresses over the years.
