Top Available ’22s and ’23s Headed to Battle at the Bay: Part 1

<p>The Battle at the Bay is set to be an amazing tournament from start to finish. There will be great competition and some amazing athletes competing. This tournament falls at a critical point in the season for many teams. It is right before nationals for 18s teams and the lead-up to the end of the season for teams 17 and younger.</p> <p>Here is part 1 of the top available ‘22s and ‘23s who will be playing at the Battle at the Bay.</p> <h3>[player_tooltip player_id="91952" first="Evinae" last="Jordee"] – Setter – Class of 2023 - Capital 17 Adidas</h3> <p>Evinae is a very talented setter with a soft touch on the ball and a quick release. She makes smart choices and utilizes her hitters well. Evinae has been a very successful asset to this talented Capital team. She is competitive with the top athletes in her class and is smart and savvy on the court.</p> <h3>[player_tooltip player_id="149575" first="Sierra" last="Pertzborn"] – Middle Hitter – Class of 2023 – Capital 17 Adidas</h3> <p>Sierra was very impressive at Badger Champs and is a great athlete. She puts up a truly massive block and works to get a touch on every single ball that comes over the net. She sets her defense up for success and brings a lot power on offense as well.</p> <h3>[player_tooltip player_id="119399" first="Amelia" last="Albers"] – Libero – Class of 2023 – Capital 17 Adidas</h3> <p>Amelia has seriously impressed this season. She is scrappy and fearless in the back row, a dangerous combination for any hitters going up against her. She will work to pick up any ball that comes on her side of the court and is great in serve receive.</p> <h3>[player_tooltip player_id="184769" first="Skye" last="McDermott"] – Setter – Class of 2023 – Capital 17 Navy</h3> <p>Skye is one of the grittiest athletes around. She is an energizer and communicates at a very high level. Skye has a great touch on the ball and moves it around to her hitters well. She is also a strong server and has a powerful swing on the right side.</p> <h3>[player_tooltip player_id="91894" first="Rachel" last="Koss"]- Setter – Class of 2023 – FC Elite 17 Navy</h3> <p>Rachel has been one of the top setters in this class since our initial rankings came out years ago. Her tempo sets are some of the best around and she moves the ball around the court efficiently. She knows her hitters and caters her sets to them. She is an all-around talented athlete.</p> <h3>[player_tooltip player_id="119422" first="Alexandra" last="Kreutzmann"] – Setter - Class of 2023 – FC Elite 17 Navy</h3> <p>Alexandra is another very talented setter in this class. She has soft hands and a knack for making smart decisions. She moves the ball around really well and utilizes all of her hitters. She is a setter with a lot of potential.</p> <h3>[player_tooltip player_id="91933" first="Isabella" last="Grace"] – Outside Hitter - Class of 2023 – FC Elite 17 White</h3> <p>Isabella is a really solid six rotation outside. She excels at passing on defense and serve receive. She also has a massive vertical and explosive approach. She has great ball control and is a consistent go-to hitter for this gritty team.</p> <h3>[player_tooltip player_id="82915" first="Autumn" last="Flynn"] – Middle blocker – Class of 2023 - FC Elite 18 Elite</h3> <p>Autumn is a high-level middle with a lot of speed. She is efficient and runs great plays both in front of and behind the setter. Setters can put a lot of tempo on the ball because Autumn can run anything down and outpace a lot of opposing blockers.</p> <h3>Isabelle Coon – Setter – Class of 2022 – FC Elite 18 Navy</h3> <p>Isabelle has been very impressive this season. She has a quick touch on the ball and is hard to read. She makes smart choices and puts a good amount of tempo on the ball. Isabelle is an all-around solid athlete who has good court awareness, a high volleyball IQ, and a lot of athleticism.  </p>
