Ava Krueger Ava Krueger 5'8" | OH Marathon | 2024 State WI – 2024 – 5’8 – Outside Hitter/Middle Blocker – Marathon – Wisconsin Ice 16 National
Krueger has started off her sophomore year strong. She is dynamic, strong, and a strong 6-rotation player. Krueger can find the corners, score points, and provide a reliable first contact. Marathon was a force in 2021 and will be heavily dependent on Krueger in 2022.
Brooklyn Tortorice Brooklyn Tortorice 5'11" | MB Monona Grove | 2024 State WI – 2024 – 5’11 – Middle Blocker – Monona Grove – Madtown 161 National (title photo)
Tortorice has been a starting middle since her freshman year and is currently hitting a solid .379 hitting percentage. She leads her team with 140 kills as she hits the sharp angles, and she also has recorded over half of her team’s total blocks. Tortorice is effective and terminal at the net whether she is hitting from a pin or out of the middle.
Katlyn Tarkowski Katlyn Tarkowski 5'8" | OH Arrowhead | 2025 State WI – 2025 – Outside Hitter – Arrowhead – RVA 15 Navy
Tarkowski is a force; no matter where she is on the court, she is making big plays. After seeing her at High Performance Camp, it’s hard not to root for her. She isn’t the biggest hitter on the court, but she knows how to score points for her team.
Maddie Kowske Maddie Kowske 5'11" | OH New Berlin Eisenhower | 2025 State WI – 2025 – 5’11 – Outside Hitter – New Berlin – RVA 15 Navy
Kowske still has room to grow and could definitely turn into a game changer. She does a nice job making a solid contact on top of the ball and following through in her swing from either pin. The competitive gene runs deep in the Kowske family as Maddie’s dad, Andy, was on the 2000 Badger Men’s Basketball team that went to the Final Four.
Melia Johnson Melia Johnson 6'2" | OH Slinger | 2024 State #140 Nation WI – 2024 – 6’2 – Outside Hitter – Slinger – Milwaukee Sting 16 Gold
After training with the USAV National Team Development Program this past summer, she is leading the charge for Slinger in her sophomore season. Johnson tallied around 300 kills, 250 digs, 22 blocks, and 37 aces in her 1st two seasons. She has increased her production and effectiveness significantly in just 1 year, which makes her one to really keep an eye on as she continues her development.
Olivia Neumann Olivia Neumann 6'3" | MB Xavier | 2024 State WI – 2024 – 6’2 – Middle Blocker – Xavier – FC Elite 16 White
Neumann puts up a big block and has already tallied 87 blocks in high school. She may be young, but she doesn’t miss a step. Neumann is effective and makes herself available to attack in almost every play. Neumann is part of a trio of ’24 attackers for the Hawks, including Halle Vande Hey Halle Vande Hey 5'11" | OH Xavier | 2024 State WI (5’11 – Outside Hitter) and Mattea Kiepert Mattea Kiepert 5'10" | OH Xavier | 2024 State WI (5’9 – Outside Hitter), who all together recorded almost 600 kills in 2021.
Peri Subat Peri Subat 6'0" | OH Sheboygan Falls | 2024 State WI – 2024 – Middle Blocker/Outside Hitter – Sheboygan Falls – Milwaukee Sting 16 Black
Subat is a sound, offensive attack out of the middle. She uses a nice variety of shots in order to score. Subat was a leader for her team in kills, aces, and blocking in her sophomore season.
Siena Busalacchi Siena Busalacchi 6'0" | MB Appleton West | 2024 State WI – 2024 – 6’0 – Middle Blocker – Appleton West – FVP 16 Blue
Busalacchi is very coachable, and she is always looking for feedback. She has a positive attitude and works really hard to close the block. Busalacchi is the definition of a work horse because she is always working to be available and find the open court.
Rebecca Ring Rebecca Ring 6'2" | OH Edgewood | 2025 State WI – 2025 – Pin Hitter – Edgewood – Capital 16 Adidas
Ring is a force and a well-rounded athlete who is learning the ropes of the varsity scene. She does a great job sealing the net and pressing back into the court on the block, and her physicality is intimidating in itself. Ring reads well on defense, is a positive teammate, and has a ton of potential.
