Friday saw the Motor City Madness Showcase held in Pontiac and an impressive group of 2025 prospects were on hand displaying game-changing talent.
While all showed a lot of promise, some stood out a little more than others to earn our All-Showcase Team honors.
Ashlyn Andrzejewski, DS/L Troy Athens/Michigan Elite
Andrzejewski definitely came ready to compete. She was a fiery player that gave her all in each drill and point. Along with showcasing good footwork and passing skills, she was one of the most vocal players at the event as well.
Gabrielle Babinski, RS South Lyon East/Michigan Elite
Babinski was able to glide through the air on her attacks and finish with forceful swings. When she was lining up for a shot, you knew it was going come with a lot of speed and at a good angle to score.
Alivia Brown Alivia Brown 5'9" | DS/L Temperance Bedford | 2025 State MI , S Bedford/Legacy
Brown displayed a lot of good all-around skills, but was able to shine when she could focus on her setting. She’s quick and athletic and able to deliver on-point sets at a variety of angles. Brown has a nice touch on the ball and mixes up her feeds to keep defenses guessing.
Isabelle Busignani Isabelle Busignani 6'1" | OH Marian | 2025 State #73 Nation MI , OH Marian/Michigan Elite
Busignani may have had the most velocity on her attacks of anyone in the 2025 crop. She can turn any ball into a finisher with her ability to adjust her arm angle and her composure at the net. Busignani also shows a lot of improved defensive play that is turning her into a complete player.
Jessica Costlow Jessica Costlow 5'11" | OH SMCC | 2025 State #142 Nation MI , OH/MH SMCC/Michigan Elite
Costlow is just a solid all-around talent that makes her strong play look effortless at times. She’s always finding herself in the right spot and never looks rushed or panicked on the floor. Her attacks are right up there with anyone in terms of power and speed.
Chloe Giehtbrock Chloe Giehtbrock 6'2" | S Marian | 2025 State MI , OH/S, Clarkston/Michigan Elite
It’s funny to look at Giehtbrock’s position listing on Michigan Elite’s roster, as it says L/OH/OPP/DS/MH. On Friday, she spent the majority of her time playing at setter, and looking really good doing it. She’s proving to be an asset anywhere on the floor. With her 6’1” frame, Giehtbrock is definitely becoming a standout in this class.
Abigail Wutka Abigail Wutka 5'11" | OH Macomb Dakota | 2025 State MI , MH Dakota/Michigan Elite
Wutka was a player that would get better throughout the night and seemed to learn from her mistakes. She had impressive hangtime on her attacks, while allowed her to finish at a high rate.
