There were some really promising setters and liberos on hand at the Motor City Madness Showcase last Friday.

Each of the 2025 prospects was able to display some skills at different positions, but still shined at these primary spots.

Ashlyn Andrzejewski, DS/L Troy Athens/Michigan Elite: Andrzejewski was one of the top players at the event in terms of her hustle and effort. She made a lot of tough digs and put her body on the line frequently. She was also very vocal and encouraging of her peers.
[caption id="attachment_192245" align="alignright" width="206"] [player_tooltip player_id="185683" first="Alivia" last="Brown"][/caption]
[player_tooltip player_id="185683" first="Alivia" last="Brown"], S Temperance Bedford/Legacy: Brown was a really quick and athletic setter that consistently had good touch on her feeds. She was able to mix up the sets and locations very well. When shifting to other spots on the court, Brown showed her all-around skills were at a high level.

Kyden Ehle, S Oscoda/Lake Huron VB Academy: Ehle was a very composed and agile setter that played with a very determined look. She adjusted well to the play as it was happening and also made necessary corrections throughout the showcase. I’d like to see Ehle be a little more vocal on the floor and trust in her talents.

[player_tooltip player_id="156298" first="Chloe" last="Giehtbrock"], S Clarkston/Michigan Elite: Giehtbrock can literally play anywhere and is a really talented hitter. During the showcase, she played the setter position and did really well. She had a great feel for the ball and a nice touch that helped her hitters succeed. Giehtbrock is proving to be one of the most diverse talents in this class.

Alyssa Jasman, DS/L Canton/Michigan Elite: Jasman was steady throughout the showcase. She placed her passes very well and looked strong during serve receive. She’s a natural athlete that has a quick first-step.

Madisyn Kennedy, DS/L Rochester/Legacy: Kennedy looked to be fighting through a little bit of an injury, but it didn’t keep her from having success in the showcase. She always remained composed and came through with tough digs and was in the right place defensively.
[caption id="attachment_192246" align="alignright" width="190"] Jessa Lenart[/caption]
Jessa Lenart, DS/L Pioneer/HVVC: Lenart looked to be a little nervous and in her head in the beginning of the showcase, but she played through it and was able to show that she had a great skillset. Lenart worked really hard to make plays and got better and better throughout the event.

Lauryn Parris, DS/L Milan/HVVC: Parris was another defender that looked to be dealing with an injury, but she had herself taped up and ready to go. Parris was a hustle player and her digs were consistently getting to the setter to allow her group to stay in-system.

Allison Strickland, S Rootstown/Elite: Strickland looked to be fighting herself at times, but the more comfortable she got on the floor, the better her sets were. She has a nice arc on her feeds and showed improved accuracy throughout the showcase.

Alexandria Younglove, DS/L Monroe/Michigan Elite: Younglove had some really nice digs in tough spots. She’s got that explosive step to keep a ball in play that should be touching the ground. Younglove also stays with a play and doesn’t give up on any ball.

Kira Slaughter, DS/L Mt. Pleasant/Michigan Elite: Slaughter had really nice form on her serve receive and passing. She held her form and looked the ball into her arms. Technically sound, Slaughter also has quick feet to slide around the floor efficiently.
