Can Am Watch-List: 17/18 Divisions

<p>Yet, another weekend chock full of high level volleyball in the Motor City. This weekend will see some of the top teams in the Midwest and Canada joins forces in Detroit for this top-notch event.</p> <p>The 17s and 18s divisions look a little different for this Classic. Combining the open divisions for both age groups, we see a lot of worthy teams not in this division. Rest assure, we'll be looking at these age groups top to bottom and look at who's who to watch out for this weekend in Detroit. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="173610" first="Kendal" last="Young"] (2023) | 5'7 S | FaR Out</p> <p>After a break out high school season, Kendall Young has been making a name for herself on FaR Out's 17 Black squad. Young is a setter with super high IQ and an eye for the opposing defense. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="66293" first="Kennedy" last="Arp"] (2023) | 6'1 MB | FaR Out</p> <p>One of the most underrated players currently in Michigan, [player_tooltip player_id="66293" first="Kennedy" last="Arp"] is a name that should be on everyone's list. Arp has the hops to jump out of the gym and her hang time is outrageous. Austin has a great reach on the ball and can snap through the hardest of defenses.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="152524" first="Molly" last="Banta"] (2023) | 6'0 OH | Michigan Elite</p> <p>Another recent top performer from our last showcase in the Motor City, [player_tooltip player_id="152524" first="Molly" last="Banta"] is what drives this team's success. Banta has a great swing and is playing some of her best ball as of late. Banta is a player to keep an eye on.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="152531" first="Norah" last="Tisko"] (2023) | 5'6 L | Michigan Elite</p> <p>Like her teammate Banta, [player_tooltip player_id="152531" first="Norah" last="Tisko"] is playing her best ball at the best time of the season. Tisko is going to be one of the top libero's going into the weekend with a great eye for the opponent's offense and rock solid reception.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="110287" first="Kaela" last="Chingwa"] (2024) | 6'2 MB | NBVBC</p> <p>Another superstar from the prep season, [player_tooltip player_id="110287" first="Kaela" last="Chingwa"] will be back in action with a majority of her North Branch team this weekend. Standing tall at 6'2, she's a force in more ways than just her setting. But with that, her setting is looking more and more clean and precise as she continues an impressive Junior campaign. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="137162" first="Kendall" last="White"] (2023) | 5'5 L | Five:1</p> <p>Like Tisko, [player_tooltip player_id="137162" first="Kendall" last="White"] is a libero that needs to be on everyone's watch list. White is a scrappy defender and is oh so important for this Five:1 team. She has the capabilities of covering large spaces on the court whether it be on defense or in reception. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
