Cate Wright – Aggie Elite 16 National
Cate Wright hit some bangers for Aggie Elite today. Not only that, she played 6 rotations and had big blocks for points. Stay tuned to watch her in day two as Aggie Elite goes into a challenge match Sunday morning.
Morgen Durgens Morgen Durgens 5'9" | S Clear Springs | 2024 State TX – HJV 16 Premier
Morgan had a fantastic day for HJV Premier. She set balls from all over the court, well beyond the 10 foot line, and her hands were beautiful while doing it. While watching her play, she was engaged in every play and was all over the floor defensively. Morgan and team move into a challenge match Sunday morning.
Anna Ferber – Houston Skyline 16 Black
Anna Ferber was a ball of energy today for her team. She came up with some huge blocks on the right side. Saw a lot of hustle and heart that translated over to good volleyball. Her team plays a challenge match tonight to secure a spot into gold bracket for Sunday.
Ally Tribe – TexStar 16’s
Ally Tribe is a huge 6 rotation outside for TexStar. She plays well with in that position, passing out of middle back and hitting some great in system balls. She also poses a threat as a blocker. TexStar will try to work its way into gold bracket tonight by winning a challenge match.
Kaitlyn Collins – Xcel 154
Even though Xcel did not finish in the top two in their pool play today, middle Kaitlyn Collins had a day. While on her court she recorded 3 blocks for points in her first 3 rotations. She was a force at the net for opposing teams all morning.
Madi Polasek – TAV Houston 15 Adidas
Madi and team squeaked out a second place finish in their pool today. Outside, 6 rotation Madi Polasek put up some great ball controll all the way around. With an aggressive serve and swing, she plays above her size. TAV Houston 15 Adidas will try to win their way into the gold bracket Saturday afternoon.
Mackenzie Lachiusa – Texas United 15 Red
Mackenzie plays as a 6 rotation middle for Texas United. One of the most versitile middles I saw all day, she passes really well, and is a very good middle. Moving pin to pin easily, hitting quick sets, and digging hard balls are just some of the things I saw her do today. She is a great asset to her team.
Carleigh Schluter – Woodlands Revolution 16 Premier
Carleigh runs a 5-1 for Woodlands Revolution, and had a stellar last game of the day to help propell her team to first in their pool. She plays with a lot of confidence and doesn’t let a blocked ball, or hard driven ball keep her from running an offense. Woodlands Revolution will play a challenge match tonight in hopes to make it into the gold bracket.
