Ketesia Hall, Middle Blocker from Lakewood HS/Mizuno Long Beach Rockstar has committed to California State University Fullerton. The middle has been solid on a very strong Mizuno team that has been at the top of the PVL and competing at the top of the open division all season long.
Shayna Martinez, a 5’9” outside hitter from Lakewood HS/Golden West/Tower Zero 18-Asics has committed to Cypress College (CCCAA). GW/TZ won the gold at 18s GJNC in the liberty division. Shayna has very solid ball control and shows a lot of grace under pressure. She had a stellar high school season in the fall, being all-league and also being named MVP of the Dave Mohs tournament.
Ashlyn Riddle, a 5’5” libero/defensive specialist from Mayfair HS/Seal Beach 18-Black has committed to Cypress College (CCCAA). Riddle is quick and has a solid and steady platform. She was named to the all-area team in the fall and was nominated to the volleyball magazine dream team this season after the PVL Championships.
Madison Irving, is a 5’8” outside hitter from Los Alamitos HS/DS Earth VBC who has committed to Cypress College. Maddie, as she prefers to be called, also plays beach. Cypress College was the Orange Empire Conference champion in 2021.
Anysa Peone-Joe, is a 5’7” setter from Forza1 North who has committed to Cypress College (CCCAA). Anysa has quick feet and also plays strong defense in the back row.
Victoria Reza, a 5’5” setter from Sonora HS/Balboa Bay 18-Blue has committed to Cypress College. A hard working setter with a relentless drive, her club team finished the season with a silver medal at 18s GJNC in the patriot division.
Ruby Morse, a 6’ middle blocker from 951-Elite has committed to the University of Providence in Montana (NAIA). Morse is a stellar student and athlete who moves well laterally. Her 951-Elite team has been solid all club season, competing in the premier division of the PVL and earning their bid to GJNC in the American division without dropping a set. They finished fifth overall at GJNC.
Cheyanne Ybanez Cheyanne Ybanez 5'9" | OH Los Osos | 2022 CA , an outside hitter/opposite from Los Osos HS/Ranch Valley 18 Premier has committed to Whittier College (NCAA DIII).
Holiday Ellis, a 5’10” outside hitter from St. Bernard Catholic HS/Sunshine 18 Westside has committed to the University of Arkansas – Monticello (NCAA DII).
Abby Dixon, an outside hitter/defensive specialist from Burroughs HS/SG Elite has committed to Pace University in New York (NCAA DII).
Mason Woo, a libero from Village Christian HS/SG Elite has committed to Seton Hall (NCAA DI). A multi-sport athlete all through high school, she is very quick and coordinated with the ability to read hitters and defend the court with ease.
Jayme Solomon, a 6’ middle blocker from Mater Dei HS/Saddleback 18-Sofly has committed to St. Marys College (NCAA DI). Solomon hits a heavy ball, with incredible shoulder strength, and can put up a solid block.
Keira Sarni, a 6’ opposite from Rosary HS/Proplay 18 Megan has committed to Chapman (NCAA DIII).
Julia Peet, a 5’8” setter from Cypress HS/Apex1 18 Black has committed to Biola University (NCAA DII).
Shannon Knight, a middle from Sunshine 18 LA has committed to the University of Miami (NCAA DI). The middle is a very smart hitter, efficiently utilizing shots and hammering the ball when she sees an opening. Her club team has been stellar all season, finishing at the top of the PVL and winning 18s GJNC without dropping a match.
Serena Aarniokski, a middle/opposite from Sunshine 17 Westside has committed to St. Marys College (NCAA DI). Aarniokski has good blocking arms and reads the game well, stopping attackers.
Eva Travis Eva Travis 5'11" | OH Aliso Niguel | 2023 State CA , a 5’10” outside hitter (class of 2023) from Laguna Beach HS/T-Street 17-Naseri has committed to UC Santa Barbara (NCAA DI). A high flying attacker, she touches 10’ and has a whip quick arm.
Lois Hansen, a 6’2” opposite (class of 2023) from T- Street 17-Naseri has committed to UC Santa Barbara (NCAA DI). Hansen is long and has good height at the net, touching over 10’ when she attacks. She puts up a big block and attacks high.
Deanna Dollar Deanna Dollar 5'11" | OH Calvary Christian | 2023 CA , a 5’11” outside hitter (class of 2023) from Village Christian HS/SG Elite has committed to the College of Charleston (NCAA DI). She’s a fearless attacker and a frequent outlet for her team.
Avery Jones Avery Jones 6'1" | RS Harvard-Westlake | 2023 State CA , an outside hitter/opposite (class of 2023) from Harvard-Westlake HS/Sunshine 17 LA has committed to Columbia University (NCAA DI). Jones is long and elevates well. She has been with Sunshine for several years. Her high school team won the CIF State Championship for the first time since 2007 this past fall.
Emily Wen, a 5’10” setter (class of 2023) from Pasadena Poly HS/Sunshine 17 LA (2023) has committed to Georgetown University (NCAA DI). Wen is a setter that can hit, and hit well at that. She did both in high school. She is also a terrific server and can go on runs of points and typically gets a few aces every match.
