A look at seven RHVC players to watch follows.
RHVC 18-1 middle hitter/outside hitter Natalie Waddell Natalie Waddell OH Knott County Central | 2023 State KY (5-11) is from Knott County Central High School. Waddell contacts the ball high and is a good blocker. She came on as a high kill percentage hitter towards the end of club season, topping it off with a dominant performance at the Academy/Munciana Midwest invitational.
RHVC 18-1 middle hitter/outside hitter McKenna Rumage (5-11) is from Rolling Hills Christian School. Rummage led RHVC in kills and has developed a much faster arm swing leading to her being a high level hitter to match her all around skill set. She has a commanding presence on the court because of her strength and size.
RHVC 18-1 Libero Kelcy Curtsinger is from Bethlehem High School. Curtsinger is a solid Libero that excels in serve receive. She passes the ball with a high rate of consistency and stays engaged throughout every play. Curtsinger doesn’t hesitate to try to get any ball possible.
RHVC 16-1 setter Esther Woodward is from Rolling Hills Christian School. Woodward ran a 5-1 offense for RHVC 16-1 and her athleticism allows her to get to balls and be able to set them smoothly no matter where the pass takes her on the court. She is also a strong hitter and takes her opportunities when they present themselves.
RHVC 16-1 middle hitter Christina Felts (6-1) from LKY Homeschool. Felts has been a force during the latest club season, not only in kills – which her length allows her to hit over most blockers – but also in the control of the net on the defensive side. Her length and timing makes things difficult for opposing hitters
RHVC 16-1 Libero Mollie Thierbach is from LKY Homeschool.
Thierbach is an all over the court kind of Libero. She is solid in serve receive but excels in reading hitters and getting to the strong hits as well as little pushes.
RHVC 16-1 outside hitter Caroline Bates Caroline Bates RS Christian Academy-Louisville | 2025 State KY (5-11) is from Christian Academy of Louisville. A solid all-around athlete, Bates is a strong hitter and excels as a blocker. She has stellar timing and can read hitters swings better than most. In addition, Bates is a talented back row player.
