2022 has been a great season! For most teams, this season came to a close following the regional tournament. For a few select teams, they earned a bid to the national championships in Indianapolis this summer. This year we saw a ton of growth from clubs and players alike. We continue to move the game of volleyball forward here in the state of Oklahoma. Let’s take a look at some of the top clubs from all across the state.

Oklahoma Charge Volleyball Club- Also based out of Oklahoma City, this club has really done some cool things of late. One thing that comes to mind is the use of Hudl. This allows their players and teams to do some many positive things, such as create highlight reels to share on social media, have useful stats to make strategic decisions and give to colleges, and provide something most other clubs don’t. This club has been steadily on the rise, likely due to solid marketing, satellite sites, and out of the box ideas. They already have 38 teams listed on their website and rumors of them expanding to Tulsa could possibly be a game changer and push those numbers even higher. They have had amazing alumni such as Rachel Moore 2015, Laura Taylor 2010, and Mindy Gowen 2010. This club had 9 teams earn an USAV national bid. 10UA, 11UA, 13UA, 14UA, 14 National, 15UA, 16UA, 17UA and 18UA. Some of the top players within the club are Stella Wishon from 13UA, Addison Worley from 15UA, [player_tooltip player_id="156871" first="Josie" last="Brady"] from 16UA and [player_tooltip player_id="145993" first="Sara" last="Freeman"] from 17UA.

Ultimate Performance Volleyball Club- Based out of Jenks, this club went through a rather large change this past season when Club ONE ceased to exist. They shifted to having "Open" teams at the top of 13s-18s divisions, followed by 20 "National" teams from 10s-17s and 11 "Regional" teams from 13s-16s, giving them a grand total of 37 teams this club season. They are a relatively new club, being around only about 6 years. They not only have quantity of teams but quality teams as well. This club had 9 teams earn a bid to USAV nationals. 12 Pink, 14 Open, 15 Open, 16 Open, 16 Pink, 17 Open, 17 Pink, 17 Mint, and 18 Open. Some of the top players within this club are [player_tooltip player_id="194097" first="Grace" last="Marshall"] from 15 Open, [player_tooltip player_id="156866" first="Maren" last="Johnson"] from 16 Open, [player_tooltip player_id="145981" first="Brynn" last="Roberts"] from 17 Open, and [player_tooltip player_id="144139" first="Mia" last="Otten"] from 18 Open.

These clubs listed are some of the most elite and high achieving clubs in the state. Not only do they offer high level "ones" teams but typically their "twos" and "threes" teams are also very competitive. They also offer more regional options and/or satellite sites to help reach more kids. Club volleyball no doubt has made a huge impact on the growth of skill and love for the game here in Oklahoma. We look forward to them continuing to help push the sport forward.
