2024 Rankings Update! MN Best Liberos – Part 2

The class of 2024 is deep in talent and the liberos were not easy to rank out. There is versatility, speed, and grittiness in this group, as well as AVCA Phenoms and players with North Country Region High Performance Camp invitations. #36 [player_tooltip player_id="200540" first="Isabella" last="Rushing"] – Northern Lights 16 Red Rushing does a great job lining herself up outside the shoulder of the block, putting herself in the perfect spot to make the big dig. She takes pace off the hard swing and reads the attackers to pick up a roll shot with ease. Rushing keeps the dig on her side of the net whether it is coming from a huge pin attacker or a quick swing out of the middle. #49 [player_tooltip player_id="169070" first="Kaitlyn" last="Erickson"] – Synergy 16-1 Erickson could be found on the 2022 JVA Watchlist and for good reason. She has quick reactions and does a really great job of getting around the ball and playing it before she hits the ground. Erickson does a good job of covering her hitters and recovering the ball that may have gotten sprayed. She stays off the blocker's shoulder and does a great job of protecting the cross corner. #60 [player_tooltip player_id="166343" first="Avery" last="Studer"] – [program_tooltip program_id='430406' first='High' last='Voltage'] 17-1 Studer protects the cross corner and isn't afraid to step into the line of fire and use her hands to do so. She makes a fast step to the ball and takes care of a majority of the sideline with quick footwork and fast hands to the ball. Studer also keeps her serve low and flat to tag the endline or utilize the net and dribble over. #62 [player_tooltip player_id="200529" first="Megan" last="Jasperson"] – SMV 16-1 Jasperson is a solid middle back defender as a defensive specialist for her high school squad. She has accurate serves to the deep corners, does a great job covering the deep court, and directs traffic in front of her. Jasperson is a good communicator and makes big plays that get her team energized. #65 [player_tooltip player_id="118590" first="Meghan" last="Roggenkamp"] – Northern Lights 16-1 Roggenkamp has been a varsity player since her 7th-grade year and has accumulated over 400 digs so far. She did a great job adjusting and adapting when her team was down to 6 at the Prep Dig Gauntlet. Roggenkamp stays disciplined in her defensive base and reads the setter dump in advance. #80 [player_tooltip player_id="200534" first="Kaitlyn" last="Meincke"] – SMV 16-1 Meincke reads the ball off the blocker's hands and chases it down to keep it in play. She protects the corner and provides a really solid first contact that keeps her team in system.
