HS Conference Preview OVAC: Western Reserve
<p>The Ohio Valley Athletic Conference is a conference that has some really great volleyball programs. There are some big rivalries and even bigger talent. I am excited to get the High School season going. We will see which teams put in the work in the off season.</p>

<p>Wester Reserve ended last season with a record of 22-4. They had a great season, beating some tough teams. Losing just 3 Seniors, they should still be pretty good this year. Returning their go-to OH, Junior,<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="169116" first="Alyvia" last="Hughes"],</strong> who led the Blue Devils in hitting and aces last season will definitely help. Also returning is Junior, <strong>Lisa Eichert</strong> who did well hitting and blocking and will be expected to continue that into the pre-season/summer leagues. The Blue Devils will also be counting on Juniors, <strong>Lauren Mayorga</strong> and <strong>Angelina Cappabianca</strong> to contribute this season as they did last season. Rounding out the returning playmakers is Senior, <strong>Gianna Paris</strong> who did a great job last year and will surely be taking on a major role this season as well.</p>

<p>The Blue Devils will be starting their season with a long anticipated re-match against the Wellsville Tigers. Last Season the 5 set thriller ended in the Tigers favor, so I am sure the Blue Devils will be looking to get a little payback. This is one of the matches that I am looking forward to this upcoming season as both teams bring to the table some big hitters and strong backrow players. The game is set for 8-22 @ Wellsville High School. This will be a great way to start the season for both of these teams.</p>
