This will feature the best of the best players in the entire country and we couldn’t be more excited to run it. Over the past 4 years, Prep Dig showcases have hosted over 2,500 prospects in front of hundreds of college coaches from across the country. In addition to watching the showcase in-person or via BallerTV, coverage of this event will be made available to hundreds of our college coach subscribers on PrepDig.com.
This series of articles will preview some amazing players who are already signed up for the Showcase. Seeing these players in person is going to give us a perfect perspective of how they move, how the ball rebounds off of their platform or hands, and other intricate aspects of their skill-sets. Here are a few players that I cannot wait to see live in person and take them through drills.
Britton Finley [2025] 6-1 Outside/Right Side (HS: Frisco Memorial/Club: Frisco Flyers/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Britton is currently an unranked prospect in the 2025 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but should be ranked when I update the list in a few weeks. She plays for Frisco Memorial High School and also for the up and coming Frisco Flyers volleyball program out of the Dallas Metroplex area. She is a multi faceted six-rotation banger who can play on either pin and has power for days. This young lady can throttle the ball in high tempo situations and is lights out during quick tempo attacks behind the setter. She is a top point scorer for her squad and will show very well at the showcase in front on hundreds of college coaches. Did I mention the she is able to play back row also? Well her team thrives when she touches the ball and plays all the way around. Her strong platform is on full display during serve receive where she delivers “3” passes consistently to her setters. When I update the Texas rankings, she will be listed very high with what I see on her. I would love to have a radar gun and see the exit velocity of the ball after she makes contact.
Talan Dodson [2024] 5-11 Outside (HS: Davenport/Club: Alamo/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Talan is currently an unranked prospect in the 2024 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but has been on our watch list and we will be watching to see where she stands amongst the best in the land at the showcase. She plays at Davenport High School and for the nationally recognized Alamo volleyball program based out of San Antonio. I have seen her a few times this year at some big tourneys and she has been wonderful at the net for her squad. Her versatility is key as there is nothing that she cannot do on the volleyball court. While she might not be as tall as some that are listed, this kiddo can do some serious damage and scores in bunches on the left side. She is fully capable of turning on the ball in an instant to paint the line with authority. She also has a nice high hard and deep shot that scores often. One aspect that can be overlooked is her ability to track the set and come inside when the set dies a little to still attack with power. Her vision and speed allow her to catch up to the dying set and score with it while most will have to use an off-speed shot. She will be able to help out a college roster in a few years if given the chance.
Victoria Sanchez Victoria Sanchez 5'5" | S Brennan | 2024 TX [2024] 5-5 Setter (HS: Brennan/Club: Top Gun/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Tori is currently an unranked prospect in the 2024 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but has shown well in every tournament we have seen this year. She plays for Brennan High School and also club volleyball for Top Gun out of the San Antonio area. Her club team has exceptional teamwork and solid ball control. While they might not scare you completely by their size, you will come to respect how they keep coming at you no matter what. I say this about them, because they have some leadership about them that is due to their setters. Tori is one of the main reasons why this team has made it to where they are. While most will see their offense and think their hitters are pretty good, I see setters like Tori who put the ball exactly where it needs to be time and time again. A great setter can make any hitter look good and this is exactly what Miss Sanchez does with any team she plays for. She does all of the little things that is necessary for a team to win, especially by playing great defense out of right back. She is not afraid to take a hard driven ball on head on with a super soft touch. Just call her Amazon because this kid delivers in every way possible on the court.
