Continue ReadingPrep Dig has partnered with USA Volleyball to provide the most comprehensive showcase on June 26th prior to the start of the 14’s & 15’s age groups of the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships. This featured the best of the best players in the entire country and we were very excited to run it. Over the past 4 years, Prep Dig showcases have hosted over 2,500 prospects in front of hundreds of college coaches from across the country. In addition to watching the showcase in-person or via BallerTV, coverage of this event will be made available to hundreds of our college coach subscribers on PrepDig.com.
We will be discussing some players who stood out as Top Performers at the USA Girls Junior National Championship Pre-Tournament Showcase. This next article is devoted to the stoppers in the middle who were shutting opposing hitters down at the net and unloading some bombs of their own. These young ladies stood out for a multitude of reasons like, physical skill-sets, communication, pursuit of the ball, technique, and/or teamwork. Let’s meet a few of them.
Morgan Collier Morgan Collier 6'0" | MB Joshua | 2025 State TX [2025] 6-0 Middle (Club: Waco Juniors/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Miss Collier is someone who has been on our radar but now that I have seen her in action, she deserves to be on our rankings at our next update. She is pretty close to touching ten feet in the air from an eye-ball measurement. Her long arms and strong legs create a supreme vertical out of the middle. She has power both in her press on the block and on her attacks due to her strong frame. I think she has a very high ceiling to keep getting better as she has just started her high school career. For me, her star is on the rise and we will keep a close eye on her throughout her junior volleyball career. Stay tuned for more on Mo.
Isabella Andrews Isabella Andrews 5'11" | OH Samuel Clemens - Schertz TX | 2025 State TX [2025] 5-10 Middle (Club: South Texas Volleyball Academy/Verbal: Uncommitted)
We have written an article on Miss Andrews before the showcase due to seeing her in the gym before. We were very excited to have her in another showcase because of how dominant she was last time. This time she would be paired up and squaring off against better talent since it is tied to USA Nationals. Bella did well enough for a majority of the court coaches to write her name down and give it to me as a top performer. She was great in the individual positional drills and did amazing during the team portion as well. She is able to hit both quick tempos and higher tempo sets all across the net. I like her size and power for sure. I will be adding her name to the watch list for sure to see where she ranks amongst Texas’ best players.
Kimanni Rugley [2025] 5-11 Middle (Club: Absolute Volleyball Academy of Texas/Verbal: Uncommitted)
The amount of raw natural power in Kimanni’s strong frame is astounding. If she connects with a ball on time, there better be a wall in front of her because that ball is going to be very hard to stop. It doesn’t matter if she takes off on one foot or two, she can bang! She had everyone of our coaches raving about her offensive and defensive abilities at the net. She can hit 31’s and 51’s well at a good fast tempo. I love how she was turning on the ball and scoring in the corners. We will be putting her on our watch list for the future and keeping a very close eye on her growth in the middle position.
Other standout middles that were noted by the court coaches were: Sydney Barrett, Zahara Johnson, Jah’Dae Bussey. Carly Paugh Carly Paugh 6'2" | MB Willis | 2025 State TX , and Audrey Pender.
