A look at five 2024 14th Region middles to watch follows.
Kiera Couch Kiera Couch 5'10" | MB Letcher County Central | 2024 State KY is a junior middle hitter from Letcher County Central High School. Couch is an outstanding athlete who excels along the middle of the net. Athletic, Couch delivers in several categories frequently and uses her agility to block at a high level.
Emma Gay is a junior middle hitter from Leslie County High School. Agile, Gay moves well from side to side, closing blocks with the opposite hitter and outside hitter regularly. Gay executes fast attacks routinely and provides athleticism at her position.
Anna Potter is a junior middle hitter from the June Buchanan School. Potter has displayed the ability to produce from the middle of the net. Poised to take on a larger role for her team during the 2022 high school volleyball season, Potter blocks well, both individually and with teammates.
Lacy Smith is a junior middle blocker from Wolfe County High School. A key contributor for Wolfe County, Smith reads the setter and adjusts her approach to get the most out of attacks routinely. Smith provides a strong presence along the middle of the net.
Kylee Turner is a junior middle blocker from Buckhorn High School. Turner executes fast attacks successfully and has shown the ability to block consistently. In addition, Turner has displayed quick reaction time and the ability to transition from her defensive role into offense.
