To eliminate any bias, these rankings will be based on the Advanced Event System. The first group will be the local ranking while the second group of names will be the national ranking, with where they ranked in parenthesis.
Just because a club is in the top five does not mean it is the best club for your daughter. Try to fairly assess your daughter’s skill level and find a club that fits best for her. It is not a lot of fun watching your daughter cheer from the sideline. Coaching, friends and cost are all things that should be taken into consideration when looking at a club.
The 18’s
5) Paramount, 4) Metro, 3) Liberty Elite, 2) Maryland Juniors and 1) Virginia Juniors
Virginia Juniors was led by setter Ella Park. They went undefeated in the Chesapeake Regional Qualifier.
Metro had the top team nationally and played in the open in USAV. Middle Hannah Sherman and outside Laila Ivey triggered this offense. They qualified early for Open and did not play in the Chesapeake Qualifier.
Paramount had the highest finish in the Nationals, earning silver medals for their second place finish in the Freedom Division. They had three players nominated to the All Tournament team – Madigan Faircloth, Sadie Wright and Lainey Feighery.

The 17’s
5) Vienna Elite 17-F, 4) Virginia Juniors, 3) Liberty Elite, 2) Metro 1) Paramount
Paramount won the Chesapeake Regional Qualifier, defeating Metro. They also finished 5th in the National Division at USAV with Rylah Robinson Rylah Robinson 5'10" | OH J. W. Robinson | 2023 State VA selected to the All-Tournament team.
I asked Coach Nick DiClementi to comment on the effort his girls put forth during the season. He can sometimes be a little intense on the sidelines, living for every point, but he had high praise for his girls. “I could not be more proud of my team for the incredible season they had. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for this team, and I am so proud of every single one of my players for how hard they worked and what they accomplished this season.”
Metro qualified for Open and were led by Safi Hampton Safi Hampton 6'1" | OH Hammond (MD) | 2023 State #34 Nation VA and Brielle Kemavor Brielle Kemavor 6'5" | MB Charles J. Colgan | 2023 State #148 Nation VA . They probably had the most exciting game of the USAV Nationals tournament, losing 42-40 to third place finisher Club V.
Vienna Elite 17-F qualified for the USAV 18 Nationals, making them ineligible to compete for the 17 Nationals. They were led by setter Trisha Guevara Trisha Guevara 5'3" | S Stone Bridge | 2023 State VA and outsides Daniela Molina and Sara Boddie.

The 16’s
5) Maryland Jrs, 4) Columbia Black, 3) MVSA Sparks, 2) Paramount 1) Metro
Metro was one of the best 16 teams in the country, dominating with their two outsides in Emerson Sellman Emerson Sellman 6'4" | OH Academy of Holy Cross | 2024 State #5 Nation VA and Macaria Spears Macaria Spears 6'3" | OH Prestonwood Christian | 2025 State #5 Nation TX . Both earned spots on the 20 woman roster for the U19 U.S. National team for the Pan Am games.
Paramount was about as good a second team as you could get in Chesapeake, led by setter Paige Ahakuelo Paige Ahakuelo 5'8" | S James Wood | 2024 State VA and outside Lameen Mambu Lameen Mambu 6'0" | OH Chantilly | 2025 State #64 Nation VA and middle Kiylah Presley Kiylah Presley 6'0" | OH Bishop McNamara | 2024 State #114 Nation VA .
1 ) Metro (5), 2) Paramount (58), 3) Blue Ridge (153), 4) Maryland Jrs. (223) and 5) Columbia Black (298)
The 15’s
5) Virginia Elite, 4) MVSA Charge, 3) Liberty Elite, 2) Blue Ridge, 1) Metro
Metro had to play the Nationals without one of their best hitters, right side Jada Aksu Jada Aksu 6'0" | RS Georgetown Day | 2025 State VA . She was injured in the second match on the first day. Isabelle Bardin Isabelle Bardin 6'3" | S Flint Hill | 2025 State #121 Nation VA stepped it up and set a 5/1, getting Metro to the Gold Bracket in the American Division. They lost the first match, losing a third set heartbreaker 17-15. Bardin and outside Madison Smith Madison Smith 6'1" | OH Homeschool | 2025 State VA were named to the All-Tournament team.
MVSA Charge also got into the gold bracket in the Freedom Division. Ema Djordjevic was named to the All Tournament team.
Blue Ridge had an incredible second place finish in AAUs in the Premier Division, led by Kennedy Spaid Kennedy Spaid 5'11" | OH James Wood | 2026 State VA , Ada McCoy Ada McCoy 5'11" | OH Musselman (WVA) | 2025 State VA and Emma White Emma White 5'6" | DS/L Legacy Christian Academy | 2025 State VA .
