We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be added to our prestigious State Rankings through their play on the court. Please welcome them with open arms.
Dior Charles Dior Charles 6'1" | MB Marymount | 2023 State #93 Nation CA [2023] 6-0 Middle (HS: Marymount/Club: Sunshine/Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are happy to announce that Dior has made the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 7th best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays at Marymount High School and also club for the awesome Sunshine volleyball program. We previewed her a few months ago and here is what we stated, “This young lady can absolutely fly as she is part of the famed ten-foot club. Her vertical on her approach touch is phenomenal as she reached ten foot three with her peak jump. Dior has been on everyone’s radars since she was in middle school due to her natural athleticism. There is not a route she cannot run effectively and she also stars as a blocker as well. Her quickness patrolling the net is something that every college coach would love. She helped lead her high school team to a number one ranking and a State Title.” I had the chance to watch this uber athletic baller in person in Indy at USA Nationals. I was in awe of just how easy it is for her to rise off of the ground. She has another level of contact point that most athletes dream of having. Last year she had 123 kills on a very impressive and efficient .324 hitting percentage. She also added 79 blocks for her squad. We will be watching her senior season very closely. Please help us congratulate her on the wonderful achievement of being named one of the state’s best volleyball players.
Ava Lange Ava Lange 6'3" | OH Harvard-Westlake | 2023 State #144 Nation CA [2023] 6-3 Outside (HS: Harvard-Westlake/Club: Sunshine/Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are happy to announce that Ava is officially a state ranked player. She is currently ranked as the 8th best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays at Harvard-Westlake High School and also club for the awesome Sunshine volleyball program. So far this season she has already tallied 94 kills on a wonderful .414 hitting percentage. She also has 45 digs and 11 aces. Miss Lange is one of those players who can change a game with her presence. The amount of power that her right arm produces on her down swing is astounding. Because of her offensive output and power, one aspect that might get overlooked is her amazing court vision. She is able to see the block in front of her so well and it helps her score so efficiently. Her high school squad is able to set her whether she is in the front row or the back row and she is deadly at both. We are happy to have her on our list. Please help us congratulate her on the wonderful achievement of being named one of the state’s best volleyball players.
Devon DeNecochea Devon DeNecochea 6'3" | RS Canyon Crest Academy | 2023 State #129 Nation CA [2023] 6-3 Right Side (HS: Canyon Crest/Club: Wave/Verbal: Portland State)
We are happy to announce that Devon has made the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 9th best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays at Canyon Crest High School and also club for the amazing Wave volleyball program. She is a BEAST on the right side of the court and does some amazing things on both the defensive and offensive end. The strong lefty is also a member of the famed ten-foot club as she is able to approach touch 10′ 2”. She has great control over the ball and can move her shot all over the court due to her stellar hand contact. Lefties usually have a hard time allowing the ball to cross their shoulder while attacking from the left side of the court, but Miss DeNecochea does it with ease. Her high school squad also plays her out of right back and she showcases some great defensive skills too. Please help us congratulate her on the wonderful achievement of being named one of the state’s best volleyball players.
