Molly Beatty Molly Beatty 6'0" | S Herron | 2025 State #128 Nation IN , 6-0, Herron
To say that the Achaeans are not a volleyball-centric school is an understatement. That being said, Molly is one of the few club players ever to be at Herron, and is a gem of a find for any school that wants her in the fall of ’25. She has high and soft hands, locates the ball well, and defends her position better than most setters in her graduating class. I hate saying this for her, but it might be true; I hope her high school season goes quickly, as her talents are much more showcased in club playing against open-level competition.
Isabelle Brown Isabelle Brown 5'9" | S Avon | 2025 State #101 Nation IN , 5-9, Danville
Well west of Indianapolis, Danville has carved their own niche as a solid small-school farm for volleyball players. Isabelle is a full-go, zero-quit Circle City-trained setter that has known nothing but winning at the open level every spring. Very coachable and an outstanding all-around game, Miss Brown is the definition of gym rat, and seems to get better every time I see her.
Ava Hunter Ava Hunter 5'11" | S Hamilton Southeastern | 2025 State IN , 5-10, Hamilton Southeastern
An eclectic kid, Ava is three rotations of the 6-2 the Royals are running on varsity this year. The other? Macy Hinshaw Macy Hinshaw 5'9" | S Hamilton Southeastern | 2024 State #75 Nation IN . Ava gets lost in the shuffle, like most “other” setters in a 6-2. However, Ava has her own skill set that makes her just as adept at locating the ball. She has excellent hands, defends her position well, and is a vocal leader to boot.
Reese Edwards Reese Edwards 5'6" | S Columbus North | 2025 State IN , 5-6, Columbus North
Personally, I’m not high on shorter-than-average setters. Reese breaks that mold with her aggression, athleticism and volleyball acumen. She knows whom to set exactly when the team needs a point, has the ability to get to more tight passes than you think, and will be a steal of a find for a small college looking for either a three-rotation setter or a person that can run the whole thing.
Kaitlyn Kuckkan Kaitlyn Kuckkan 5'7" | S Lafayette Central Catholic | 2025 State IN , 5-7, Lafayette Central Catholic
With a state title trophy already on her mantle, Kaitlyn plays with such a high level of talent that it’s hard to believe she’s only a sophomore. Already surpassing 1000 career assists (in her first match of this fall), it’s not hard to extrapolate that this is a 4k assist kid, which hasn’t happen around here in…..well…..ever. Kaitlyn has immense volleyball acuity, achieves at an equally high level in the classroom, and is relentless in pursuit of both.
