Lexi Shondell Lexi Shondell 5'8" | S McCutcheon | 2026 State IN , 5-8, McCutcheon, Boiler Juniors
As the quarterback for the offense of the best 16s team in the Hoosier Region, Lexi comes from a long bloodline of ball control and volleyball acuity. Her hands are deceptive, her footwork is nearly perfect, and she knows what to do in each and every situation based on what the defense gives her. With Uncle Dave and older sister Allie at Purdue, and dad John a decades-long coach, it goes without saying that Lexi is more than capable of running the show starting in the fall of 2026 at a major university near you.
Sophia Gisslen Sophia Gisslen 5'9" | S Carroll | 2026 State IN , 5-9, Carroll, Team Pineapple
Athletic and smart, Sophia runs a faster-than-average offense for the top 16s team at TP. Her hands are high and accurate, she can put balls away on her own on the second contact, and puts her attackers in the best situation to score points. Additionally, she does all of this without fanfare or accolades—when Sophia is in charge, the job gets done, and her work ethic to be this good this early in her career does not go unnoticed by this author.
Keira Dommer Keira Dommer 5'8" | S Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran | 2026 State IN , 5-8, Concordia Lutheran, Summit
Yet another athletic setter with a high volleyball IQ from the Fort Wayne area, Keira plays bigger than her 5-8 frame, and runs a solid offense for every team she’s on. She’ll also find a way to make a bad pass hittable for her attackers, while some setters in this class might give up on doing so. At over 1700 assists in her young career at FWCL, she has the distinct possibility to eclipse 4000 (!!!) assists in her high school career.
Maddie Carnes Maddie Carnes 5'11" | S Springs Valley | 2026 State IN , 5-11, Springs Valley, Union
From ultra-small Springs Valley High School, Maddie does a little of everything for her fall team, while she sets primarily in the spring. Big and physical, Miss Carnes has been training with Union for years now, so you know that her volleyball IQ is off the charts. When attacking, she always seems to find the floor, and can frustrate defenses with her deceptive hands while setting. Size isn’t an issue with her, nor is skill. Because of where she’s located and the size of school she plays for, she hasn’t been seen by a ton of colleges. YET.
Addie Haberthy Addie Haberthy 5'11" | S Roncalli | 2026 State IN , 5-11, Roncalli, Circle City
Long, lean and athletic, Addie plays for one of the top ten 4A schools in the state, all while setting at one of the top clubs in the Hoosier Region. Unlike the majority of setters in this class, Addie is fully capable of getting that overpass and making it hittable for her attackers. She also defends her position well, a trait not often seen from setters this size. Long strides define her footwork, and she can get to a ton of out-of-system balls just because of her length.
