Players to Watch:
Caroline Tomlinson Caroline Tomlinson 5'11" | MB Pacific | 2025 State MO – 5’11” – Middle – Pacific
Tomlinson can get hot and run off a lot of points while in the front row. She is a quick and feisty middle who wants to smash the ball whenever she gets set. She moves well to the pins to block and makes a quick transition.
Ella Gaona Ella Gaona 5'6" | DS/L Nerinx Hall | 2023 State MO – 5’6” – Libero – Nerinx Hall
The Florida State recruit will be critical for the Markers this season. A dynamic libero commands the court and plays the libero role to a T. Ella will take up much of the passing lanes, and her quickness allows her to get up a lot of balls that generally go down.
Hannah Leftridge Hannah Leftridge 5'10" | OH St. Pius X (Festus) | 2025 State MO – 5’10” – Outside – St. Pius X
Leftridge will be the go-to hitter this year for the Lancers after finishing last year with 301 kills. The best part of her game is her passing and defense, which could get her a high-level offer if she chose to play libero in college.
Ella Nikodym Ella Nikodym 5'10" | S Duchesne | 2023 State MO – 5’10” – Setter – Duchesne
The tallest player on the team for the Pioneers will run the show. Ella has great hands; her accuracy is solid and provides a big block on the right pin.
Jade Roth Jade Roth 6'0" | MB Farmington | 2023 State MO – 6’1” – Middle – Farmington
The Lindenwood recruit is fun to watch when the passing is on point for the Knights. An athletic middle that is quick and powerful out of the middle has a great vertical. She is a ball bouncer if the ball is set to her perfectly.
Bella Uzzle Bella Uzzle 5'4" | DS/L Hillsboro | 2023 State MO – 5’4” – Libero – Hillsboro
Uzzle led her team in digs and serve receptions last year and will do the same this season. She is a speedy libero that gives her team every opportunity to score when she’s the first contact.
Autumn Bax Autumn Bax 5'11" | RS Blair Oaks | 2024 State #188 Nation MO – 6’0” – Rightside – Blair Oaks
Bax is the big gun for the Falcons on the correct pin, and the lefty led Blair Oaks to the Class 3 Championship last year. Long, power lefty gives teams fits with her sharp cross-court shots and gives the Falcons a massive blocker on the right pin.
Catherine Woolf Catherine Woolf 6'0" | OH North Point | 2024 State MO – 6’0” – Outside – North Point
An under-the-radar player is developing into a tremendous six-rotation player for the Grizzlies. Watch out for her line shot! The kid can slam it from anywhere on the court, plays solid defense, and is a primary passer.
Semifinals
Belleville West wins Pool A
Centralia, IL wins Pool B
Farmington wins Pool C
Blair Oaks wins Pool D
Championship
Blair Oaks vs. Centralia, IL This one should be a dandy to watch as both teams return solid cores from last season. Blair Oaks will pull out the championship 2-1 with Autumn Bax Autumn Bax 5'11" | RS Blair Oaks | 2024 State #188 Nation MO putting on a show.
