We are currently in the window where 2024s can take their official visits where athletes will be able on the college’s dime. This is also a great time for athletes to see the team practice, what the campus looks like with students moving around, and what the feel of the team would be on game weekend (depending on the time they visit). Here are some from Colorado and California who have given their verbal.
Maddy Stucky – Laramie (WY) – NORCO
Setter – Committed to Wyoming
The is a huge in-state pick up for Wyoming where Stucky is the top prospect coming out of the state, being in the Prep Dig Top 100 Class of 2024 rankings. Stucky was the setter for NORCO 16 Black who was a 16 Open qualifier last club season. What makes her game up there with the elite setters is how she can move and also be very offensive. If she is in the front row and jumping the defense has to be on high alert. With a left handed swing, she can turn and burn putting a lot of pressure on the other side of the net.
Corrie Anderson – Palmer Ridge (CO) – Colorado Juniors
Pin/DS – Committed to Dayton
Anderson has a big time upside where she will fit in well to the Dayton system where they always have plenty of strong attackers who have plenty of athleticism. Anderson is touching over ten feet where she is able to swing and score from any position in the front row. She provides a strong block, can get on top of the ball when attacking, and can do this from both pins. As she develops a backrow attacking scheme with continued improvement with ball control, she is going to be an exciting college prospect.
Madison Triplett Madison Triplett 5'9" | OH El Capitan | 2024 State #149 Nation CA – El Capitan (CA) – Coast
Pin/DS – Committed to UCSB
Triplett will find plenty of ways to score on the outside. She is 5’9 and extremely crafty with plenty of shots. What sets her aside is how she can use a variety of attack angles. She knows when to use the block, when to use the shot, and when to hammer. With her dynamic style of play, she will translate well to the college game with her combination of passing and high IQ. UCSB has picked up some big instate commits in the Class of 2024.
Preslie Yates Preslie Yates 6'0" | MB Berkley | 2024 State CA – Berkeley (CA) – Absolute
MB – Committed to Long Beach State
Speed and athleticism. That is the name of the game for Preslie Yates Preslie Yates 6'0" | MB Berkley | 2024 State CA who will head to Southern California to play for Long Beach State under new head coach Tyler Hildebrand, the former assistant coach at Nebraska. Yates is lethal attacking off one foot and can hit all the quick tempo sets. She has the ability to quickly move laterally to get above the net and turn in the block. Beach has picked up some big recruits and transfers, becoming an instant force to be reckoned with in the Big West.
Emerson Strain – Horizon (CO) – The Diff
S/OH – Committed to Creighton
Strain has quite the highlight videos with plenty of assists to future Nebraska commit Andi Jackson where they teamed up for The Diff out of the Denver Metro area this past club season. Strain is 6’0, can play on the pin and be a terminal attacker, but her future at Creighton will be at the setter position. Creighton has always found setters who are all around athletes and players and Strain will fit right into the position. She brings in an athletic and physical style where she can be a really strong net player as well.
