Texas is second to none when it comes to our players earning the right to play at the next level. The offers for our wonderful Texas players keep coming. We love to see the pictures and news of these players as they are achieving their dreams. We are proud to announce some news from the recruiting front. There are three more players who have just committed to college volleyball programs recently and we would like to share the news. These young ladies have been hard at work during the club and high school volleyball season. They also have been hard at work on the recruiting scene getting offers from schools and have made their college decisions. Help us in congratulating them on the amazing news.
Payton Woods [2023] 8-0 Outside (HS: Lake Creek/Club: Woodlands Revolution/Verbal: Sam Houston State University)
Payton is currently an unranked prospect in the 2023 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She is a phenomenal six-rotation outside from Lake Creek High School and also plays for Woodlands Revolution volleyball. This young lady’s volleyball career has been riddled with awards as she has been named to All-County, All-District and Post Season lists from her high school production. Her offensive production can be described as efficient due to her amazing ability to move the ball around the block. She has an uncanny ability to turn on the ball so well in the air and hit line on the left and right side. While coming around to the middle during play-sets, she cuts the ball very well to the corners to score. Her back row play is extremely well rounded in the middle back position and she is solid during serve receive. We are proud to announce that Payton has decided to play college volleyball at Sam Houston State University. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing at the next level.
Avery Fowler [2022] 5-8 Setter (HS: Oak Ridge/Club: TAV Houston/Verbal: Sam Houston State University)
Avery is currently ranked as the 127th best overall prospect in the 2022 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She is a solid setter from Oak Ridge High School and also plays club for TAV Houston. I have been lucky enough to see Avery play for a couple of years and she never seems to disappoint. Her leadership is something that sets her apart from other setters in her age group. She is the type of player that you would take into battle with you because of her grit and determination to outwork others. This extremely loyal baller is someone who makes every team she is on better. There is not a set that she cannot target over and over. We have written about her a few times and she comes very highly recommended from her coaching staff at TAV and others. We are proud to announce that she has committed to playing volleyball at Sam Houston State University. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing college volleyball.
Angie Lee [2023] 6-2 Middle (HS: Farmersville/Club: Dallas Premier/Verbal: Louisiana State University)
Angie is currently an unranked prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She is a high-flying middle from Farmersville High School and plays club volleyball at Dallas Premier. While some middles have to turn on the ball to hit around a block, Miss Lee is able to use her long arms to sky over opposing blockers. She has a very long reach and it helps on the defensive end also while shutting down opponents. Her arm is lightning quick and puts a ton of exit velocity behind the attack. She is extremely potent out of the middle, but when her squad uses her out of serve receive behind the setter for a quick attack, she is deadly. Her potential is out of this world. We are proud to announce that she has committed to playing volleyball at Louisiana State University. Please help us congratulate her on realizing her dream of playing at the next level.
