<p>The defending Class 3 champions are still the team to beat and will stay until someone in Class 3 can knock them off. [player_tooltip player_id='124226' first='Autumn' last='Bax'] broke the school career kill record as a junior, but they are not a one-trick pony.</p>

<p>The youth movement for the Bears is paying off as they start three freshmen and have a huge win over Westminster Christian 3-1.</p>

<p>Currently undefeated on the season, the Pintos have a huge battle on the 15th with Blair Oaks. The winner will get the #1 seed in districts, but both should make the finals. 5'10" Lauren Friedrich leads the team with 94 out of the middle.</p>

<p class="has-primary-color has-text-color"><strong>4. Pleasant Hill Chicks 3-0</strong></p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Helias Catholic handed the Chicks their only early season loss in a 3-0 sweep. The key wins are over Notre Dame de Sion and El Dorado Springs. This weekend will be an exciting venture for Pleasant Hill as they travel to St. Louis to play in the St. Joseph's Academy Tournament.</p>

<p class="has-primary-color has-text-color"><strong>5. St Pius X (Kansas City) 6-2</strong></p>

<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>With wins over Pembroke Hill and St. Michael, the Warriors look like the best Class 3 team in Kansas City. Losses to Liberty North and Shawnee Mission East in sweeps are good losses. A date at Pleasant Hill on the 20th will determine the front runner in the Kansas City area.</p>

<p>A defeat at the hands of Strafford 2-3 is a good indicator that Forsyth is legit, but a matchup with Springfield Catholic on the 26th will give us a better indication. 2024 Tatym Halbrook runs the offense with 238 assists and adds 93 digs.</p>

<p>With not much competition at this point for the Bulldogs, things will heat up a bit with the William Chrisman Tournament this weekend. 2023 [player_tooltip player_id='214757' first='Peyton' last='Gross'] is the leading hammer on the outside for the Bulldogs.</p>

<p>A 3rd place finish at the Dig for Life Tournament gives the Bulldogs a nod for the rankings. With two losses to Farmington and a defeat to Ste. Genevieve, those are solid losses. 2023 Kristin Anderson is a tremendous defender outside, while the 2026 Kate Ruble carries the team with 96 kills.</p>

<p>A date with Forsyth on the 26th will help us better understand the Irish. With 103 kills on the year, [player_tooltip player_id='123460' first='Grace' last='O'Reilly'] should keep Catholic in the battle once playoffs roll around.</p>
