1. Liberty Blue Jays 12-0
Liberty is off to a fantastic start and has knocked off teams from six different states. The biggest win is a 2-1 over Olathe Northwest and squeezed past Park Hill 3-2. 6’2″ 2025 Abigail Mullen Abigail Mullen 6'3" | RS Liberty | 2025 State #3 Nation MO leads the team in kills with 73, and sister Ashley Mullen Ashley Mullen 5'10" | S Liberty | 2023 State #9 Nation MO runs the offense with 195 assists.
2. Liberty North Eagles 6-0
The crosstown rival might be ranked #1, but the Eagles are right behind with a big win over Rock Bridge 22-25, 25-23, and 25-18. 2024 Arizona recruit Carlie Cisneros Carlie Cisneros 6'0" | OH Liberty North | 2024 State #7 Nation MO leads the way with 82 kills. A huge match-up on the 27th between 1 & 2 at Liberty awaits.
3. Eureka Wildcats 7-1
A massive win for the Wildcats Wednesday night as they traveled to Lafayette and swept the Lancers. With the win, Eureka gave themselves the #1 seed in the district tournament. Abby Holt Abby Holt 5'10" | DS/L Eureka | 2023 State MO is leading the team in kills with 84.
4. Rock Bridge Bruins 9-1
Liberty North knocked off the Bruins 1-2, but other than that, they’ve been solid and won a tournament in Arkansas to start the season. Arkansas recruit Lily Dudley Lily Dudley 5'10" | OH Rock Bridge | 2023 State #192 Nation MO leads the team with 60 kills, and Kaylen Rush Kaylen Rush 5'7" | DS/L Rock Bridge | 2023 State MO scoops up 72 digs.
5. Kickapoo Chiefs 10-4
The Chiefs are a hard team to figure out. They took a win over Eureka 3-2 but turned around and were swept by Lee’s Summit West. They’ve also lost to Rock Bridge, Nixa, and Conway, AR. Opposite, Grace Gardner and Bella Faria Bella Faria 5'10" | OH Kickapoo | 2024 State MO are doing the damage on pins.
6. Lee’s Summit Tigers 7-1-1
#1 Liberty is the only setback for the Tigers, and a big 3-2 win over St. Teresa’s Academy highlights the early season. Hammer on the outside, Ashlyn Bellamy Ashlyn Bellamy 6'1" | OH Lee's Summit | 2023 State MO is leading the way with 71 kills.
7. Ozark Tigers 8-2
With losses to Kickapoo and Normal, IL, the Springfield power is being led in kills by 2024 Reagan Baade Reagan Baade 5'8" | OH Ozark | 2024 State MO with 82 kills and 2026 Tara Venable Tara Venable 5'11" | OH Ozark | 2026 State MO .
8. Lee’s Summit West Titans 4-3
The Titans have lost to Blue Valley West, KS, Eureka, and Liberty North but have a sweep over Kickapoo. 2025 6’0″ outside Kamryn McDonald Kamryn McDonald 6'0" | OH Lee's Summit West | 2025 State MO is leading the team with 32 kills.
9. St. Teresa’s Academy Stars 2-5
Don’t let the record fool you; the Stars have lost to Bishop Miege, KS, Liberty, Lee’s Summit, Skutt Catholic, NE, and St. Thomas Aquinas, KS but beat Lafayette 3-2. Rutgers recruit Reagan Fox Reagan Fox 6'2" | OH St. Teresa's Academy | 2023 State #104 Nation MO is a beast on the outside with 87 kills.
10. Lafayette Lancers 8-5
Lafayette went to Florida for a Nike Tournament and returned with one loss and a 5th-place finish. Since returning, they have lost 3 or 4 to St. Teresa’s Academy, Skutt Catholic, NE, and Aquinas, KS. With the loss to Eureka, Lafayette has lost four straight. Not sure that’s been done at Lafayette in decades.
