Texas is second to none when it comes to our players earning the right to play at the next level. The offers for our wonderful Texas players keep coming. We love to see the pictures and news of these players as they are achieving their dreams. We are proud to announce some news from the recruiting front. There are three more players who have just committed to college volleyball programs recently and we would like to share the news. These young ladies have been hard at work during the club and high school volleyball season. They also have been hard at work on the recruiting scene getting offers from schools and have made their college decisions. Help us in congratulating them on the amazing news.
Leah Oyewole Leah Oyewole 5'10" | OH Bishop Lynch | 2023 State TX [2023] 5-10 Outside (HS: Bishop Lynch/Club: Dallas Skyline/Verbal: Washington University)
Leah is currently ranked as the 41st best overall prospect in the 2023 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She is a stud pin attacker from Bishop Lynch High School and also plays club at Dallas Skyline. She is bouncy and can bang the ball with the best of them. I love how she is able to lift off of the ground so easily. She has collected numerous awards throughout her high school career and each of them was warranted due to her elite level of play. Her long arms help her excel at the net while blocking and shutting down opposing outside hitters while playing in the opposite position. She has a tremendous wrist snap at contact that helps add some pop on the ball. Having a versatile attacker who can play on both sides of the setter is a great tool to have for any program. We are proud to announce that she has decided to play college volleyball at Washington University. They got themselves a game changer Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing at the next level.
Hannah Gonzalez Hannah Gonzalez 6'3" | MB Lovejoy | 2023 State #170 Nation TX [2023] 6-3 Middle (HS: Lovejoy/Club: Madfrog ‘ last=”]/Verbal: University of North Texas)
Hannah is currently ranked as the 14th best overall player in the 2023 class according to the Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. Miss Gonzalez plays at Lovejoy HS and also club for national powerhouse Madfrog ‘ last=”]. We have written about this juggernaut many times over the course of her career and she is still just as dominant as ever. Here is a little from the last article, “She has the experience of winning a few state titles already and brings that to this team who is filled with young talent. They will rely heavily on her leadership to keep them in prominence. She is filling up the stat book with blocks and kills for this squad and will be looked at to stay consistent as the district schedule begins. If we know anything, nothing will stop Hannah from dominating at the net. Watch out for a great end to a phenomenal career during this final high school season for her.” We are proud to announce that she recently committed to playing volleyball at the university of North Texas. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing college volleyball.
Lyric Berry [2023] 6-1 Middle (HS: Bishop Lynch/Club: Madfrog ‘ last=”]/Verbal: Providence College)
Lyric is currently ranked as the 15th best overall prospect and 6th best middle in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays at Bishop Lynch High School and club for the amazing Madfrog ‘ last=”] program. This young lady is a highlight reel waiting to happen. She is super explosive in every aspect of the game and scores in bunches for Bishop Lynch. She has an uncanny ability to read the defense and know where the holes are. Her ability to score is not just with hard driven balls. She also masters the ability to use tips and off-speed shots to every single area of the court. Her presence at the net has been a huge factor for why Bishop Lynch has been so dominant during her high school career. We are proud to announce that she has committed to playing volleyball at Providence College. Please help us congratulate her on realizing her dream of playing at the next level.
