The 5’10 freshman was recently listed as part of our class of 2026 ‘Watch List’ for her steady effort in this first season of her high school career. She had a big match on Tuesday as she led the Rockets with 24 kills in a tough 3-2 win over Ottoville. The middle hitter earned her career high output through a .319 efficiency.
Jillian Gdovin – Mayfield
Leading the Wildcats with 21 kills, Gdovin averaged 5.3 kills per set while hitting .368 as Mayfield defeated Madison 3-1 in a Western Reserve league match. The 5’11 outside hitter is having a very productive junior season as she is averaging a career high 3.6 kills per set. She has an aggressive arm and gets a lot of opportunities through a variety of attack points across the net.
Brooklyn Bourne – Celina
Four Bulldogs terminated double-figure kills in Celina’s big 3-2 non-league win over Coldwater. Bourne, a 5’10 senior, earned a career high 19 kills as she is getting closer to the 700 kills mark for her career. She gets the majority of her opportunities in the middle yet plays six rotations through which she provides stability in Celina’s ball control.
Leah Noga – Talawanda
Talawanda beat Oak Hills 3-1 behind Noga’s team-leading and career high 18 kills. The 6’2 junior plays a dual role as a setter and attacker through which she averages 5.3 assists and 1.7 kills per set. Talawanda is 12-4 overall and currently in second place in Southwest Ohio conference play.

With 21 kills, Maibach helped Norwayne to a big WCAL win as the Bobcats outlasted Chippewa 3-2 to drop them out of first place. Recently identified as a 2026 ‘Watch List’ prospect, Maibach is one of the most productive freshman prospects. With a team leading average of 3.0 kills per set, the 5’10 middle also leads her team in hitting efficiency (.288), blocks (86), and service aces (23).
