Student-Athletes Deciding their Future: Fall College Commitments

LaFontaine was the Pilot Dream Team Player of the Year last season and a CIF Division II selection.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Dani Sparks, a 5'6” setter in the class of 2024 from Huntington Beach High School and LaFontaine's beach partner in high school, has also committed to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (NCAA DI) to play for former AVP pro Todd Rogers. Sparks is one of the key juniors returning to Huntington's successful indoor team last season. They lost in the CIF SS Division II final to Aliso Niguel.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='160362' first='Grace' last='Jackson'] from the class of 2023 a middle blocker/opposite from Santa Margarita High School, T-Street and Spiker Beach has committed to Pepperdine University (NCAA DI) to play beach volleyball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='161453' first='Molly' last='Harrison'], a setter/opposite from Absolute 18-Black has committed to Middlebury College (NCAA DIII).&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='162772' first='Charlie' last='Fuerbringer'], a 5'11” setter/opposite from the class of 2024 who plays for Mira Costa High School and Long Beach Mizuno, has committed to the University of Wisconsin (NCAA DI). Fuerbringer is a standout setter, directing the offense with ease who can also attack with a quick arm. She was recently named the Most Outstanding Player at the Ann Kang Invitation in Hawaii.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='159523' first='Torrey' last='Stafford'], a 6'1” outside hitter from the class of 2023 has committed to the University of Pittsburgh (NCAA DI). Van Gronigen was a force on the pin last year with her older sister Emily on their high school team.
