Since mostly seniors played last year, this season is a bit different with younger players taking the stage. Although they are a younger squad, Sorge is excited about the chemistry, selflessness, and passion buzzing through the team. A focal point for the Rangers is having fun at all times. Instilling appreciation for every moment, Sorge wants her players to enjoy the entire process.
Below are five standouts for Clements volleyball.
Samantha Spitznagel
Samantha Spitznagel
Spitznagel brings a wealth of experience as a six rotation outside and senior captain. This position comes as no surprise because her natural leadership skills. Sorge notes her tremendous improvement on consistency in swings and serving. Dependable in back row attacking, Spitznagel is an offensive threat in every rotation.
Olivia Hendrix
Olivia Hendrix
Hendrix is another senior captain that brings a spark to the court. She plays well under pressure, contributes to crucial points in tight situations, and her serving ignites energy. Whether she’s on or off the court, you will hear Hendrix as a constant communicator. All these factors make her a glue for this team.
Ally Bernas
Ally Bernas
Bernas is a six rotation outside that is undersized but plays six inches taller than she is. She is tenacious on the net and relentless to find a way to score. Whether it’s smart swings, tooling off the block, or finding holes – Bernas is a play marker. Even better, she’s also the most consistent passer out of serve receive.
Emma Levy
Emma Levy
Levy is the youngest player noted for Clements as a sophomore libero. This is her first year on varsity and she’s earned almost every match in the libero jersey. With strong anticipation and reading skills, Levy leads the team in digs and serve receive passes. She has fantastic ball control and fast reaction timing.
Highlights
Daniels is a senior middle blocker playing with confidence and determination. She leads the team in blocks and works hard getting available in transition every chance. This combination makes her a consistent threat offensively and defensively. Daniels is playing at a fast tempo and touches over 10 feet. She has recently committed to play at Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
