At 9-2 overall, their two losses come against some other high profile teams in Ursuline (3-0) and nationally ranked Assumption (2-1) from Kentucky. They also have some significant wins over Seton, Mount Notre Dame, Male (KY), and St. Joseph’s Academy (MO). They now focus on claiming a GGCL title and are in good shape behind the play of the following athletes.

Fickell is the team’s setter and has been playing terrific volleyball this season. She has continued to grow in her confidence and it is showing in the production of this offense that has some big options. At 6’1, the Indiana commit has great size to contact above the net, which can be difficult to read and defend with her ability to distribute all locations at the top of her setting move. Among GGCL leaders, Fickell is currently averaging 10.6 assists per set for an offense averaging over 13 kills per frame. She also is a team leader in total service aces.

Siefke is finally getting her opportunities to regularly contribute to this program’s offense and rightfully so. With size and athleticism that helps her create high contact above the net, she has continued to develop her range and efficiency that has led to her averaging 2.7 kills per set at a .307 efficiency, which is impressive for a pin attacker with this much volume of work. The Eastern Michigan commit averages 1.6 blocks per match and can contribute well with her ball control and defense.

The Bulldogs’ offensive leader, Brus has seen the biggest workload and is currently terminating 3.6 kills per set. The 5’10 pin elevates well and can challenge the defense above the tape with a fast arm along with range and power. She had an impressive Saturday this past week as St. Ursula faced some high level opponents in Louisville including league rival MND, Assumption (KY), and St. Joseph Central Catholic. Across those three best-of-three tournament matches she averaged 4.3 kills per set.

The Jacksonville State commit is a physical presence in the middle that complements well the offense this team gets at the pins as well as the defense that creates opportunities behind her block. Their best option between the pins on quicker tempos she is averaging 2.7 kills per set while hitting at a team high .341 efficiency. Stocks is also contributing a team high 2.5 blocks per match.
Sydney Majick – 2023
In her first season in a regular role for this team, Majick has made a big impact for the Bulldogs in the back row. Her skill set includes great vision, reaction, and court coverage all of which she has continued to develop as an avid and successful beach prospect. She is averaging a team high 11.9 digs per match with her biggest outputs in their most recent matches as she totaled a career high 22 digs versus Assumption (KY) followed by 19 digs against MND for a 6.8 digs per set average against two high profile programs.
